Please capture it in a debug log (step 4b) when you encounter this again and attach the log to a Support Ticket: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=86643

This will help a developer analyze why this happens on your setup.

I'm using build 5.0.2.2532 and it doesn't work consistently for me and I have zero home network issues

Which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey are you using and how long has this been an issue. There have been occasional hiccups in the past, but it works consistently for me.

I'm having the same frustrating issue with MusicBrainz and have tried all the same things suggested in this post. Nothing but issues for me with MediaMonkey 5. I can access MusicBrainz directly without issue and I shouldnt have to wait for it to work eventually..... I'm close to asking for a refund or disputing the charge since the service I paid for isn't being delivered and doesn't function consistently as it should.

This would need to be added by Third Party Addons. MediaMonkey provides lookup with MusicBrainz and in my experience most stuff is available on it.

Are there better sources for metadata available? By better I mean sources which have up to date information about CD releases? It seems most of the time I get a message indicating the CD is not found in the database, especially on new releases.

UPDATE - 06/16/2021
The connection to MusicBrainz has been restored (for now). Thank you.

There is another issue now though...
After clicking OK for the ripping to begin, I get a large, blank white box and I can only get rid of it by force closing the app in Tsk manager and restarting the app...
Because the app essentially crashes, it should be sending logs but, I will try sending a log manually, as well.

This is issue is being worked on. However you're still having issues on 2410 with MusicBrainz as source: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... 30&t=86639

Have you tried to engage manual lookup after you receive an error from the CD node in the Media Tree? Does it fail again?

Can I get support by email or some other means.
I just want to get some way to have MM get the metadata, I doon't care how,
I paid for this software and it is broken and it needs to be fixed
I have submitted a few bug reports and have not heard back from anyone

Or at least partial information so that you can rip CD and then USE MM5 Auto Tag to fill the rest on the ripped tracks. Finally after that is done and you are satisfied you can Use Auto organize to put teh files in their final Resting place.

i switched to gnudb DOT gnudb DOT org and it still says it can not find the CD info.
