Yeah, I remember seeing it too. Theres an article about it in the wiki:

Sorry, I came off rather pissy in my last post, don't know what my deal was when I made it.

I can understand this being a Wishlist Post. Though, it's been discussed a few times before that MediaMonkey doesn't want to turn into 'bloatware' and have ever option and feature imaginable built in, specially when a certain feature can be done by scripts.

Trix's script seems to be the most accurate answer. Depending on your 'Play Now' settings, double clicking would either give you only a single file (or the few you'd have selected) playing which wouldn't solve your problem any, or you'll queue up all the files in the given window, which the Auto-Playlist would solve.

You could go throw your hat into the ring of people that would like to see Trix's script converted to MM3, might help prioritize it if someone shows interest in using it, you know?

Also, I believe I remember reading somewhere that Auto-DJ or the scripting capabilities of it or something, was going to be extended at some point allowing easier creation of Auto-DJ scripts. Don't recall in what topic I read that in. *Shrugs*

I don't want to give the impression that I am not satisfied with MM. I am very satisfied. I'm just trying to give constructive criticism. This is a wishlist post after all, not a help me figure out how to do a workaround post.

Each solution your given, your not satisfied with... so... If this is such a problem, why use Shuffle at all? Seems you want to have all kinds of control over what you listen to, so why not just queue it up yourself?

It's possible to set up a playlist, and it's possible with auto-album DJ script from trixmoto (thanks by the way). But if I just want to double click a file in my library and start listening, I'm SOL. MM needs support for random album in now playing window. It can't be that hard...

Actually, indeed you can with Auto-Playlist. Just set up your criteria, then for the Sort Order, select "Random Album."

Though, this involves you having Gold.

Possible in MM3 with auto-playlists and probably with Magic Nodes (I don't use it so I couldn't tell you how)

...because a track by the beach boys does not belong after a track by nine inch nails.
