Sorry, I came off rather pissy in my last post, don't know what my deal was when I made it.
I can understand this being a Wishlist Post. Though, it's been discussed a few times before that MediaMonkey doesn't want to turn into 'bloatware' and have ever option and feature imaginable built in, specially when a certain feature can be done by scripts.
Trix's script seems to be the most accurate answer. Depending on your 'Play Now' settings, double clicking would either give you only a single file (or the few you'd have selected) playing which wouldn't solve your problem any, or you'll queue up all the files in the given window, which the Auto-Playlist would solve.
You could go throw your hat into the ring of people that would like to see Trix's script converted to MM3, might help prioritize it if someone shows interest in using it, you know?
Also, I believe I remember reading somewhere that Auto-DJ or the scripting capabilities of it or something, was going to be extended at some point allowing easier creation of Auto-DJ scripts. Don't recall in what topic I read that in. *Shrugs*
