Can't iTunes already do this (or be enhanced to do so)? I do wonder about latency issues when doing simultaneous playback on multiple PC's.

it would be totally cool if MM worked like a client/server, where each client/server could independently talk to another client/server.

much like how many first person shooter type games work

This would be very cool indeed.

I am not aware of any way to slave multiple MM installs together in this manner.

there are some threads in the past about having remote speakers or sending the audio output of one pc to another, but that would not be the same as having 2 MM's playing the same thing at the same time.

Thanks for the reply and suggestions. However, the idea was for both pcs to be playing the same song at the same time. Guess I could just run a pcm signal from one to the other. Meh

I don't think so.

You might try VNC or remote desktop if you want to control a remote computer.

It would be cool if the monkey in computer A could tell the monkey in computer B to play such and such song so both would play the same song at the same time. That way the monkey in front of the computer could be listening to his awesome Z-2300's instead of the crap on the other computer. Is there a plugin for this? Oh BTW both PCs use a shared NAC database and media source.
