I can confirm on 1451 that with the Column Browser enabled the sort order can't be saved. Added note here: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view. ... 299#c28538

I think I just figured out the problem..

In art view with details mode WITHOUT the column browser, the update playlist order WILL save...HOWEVER, if it is in art view with details AND the column browser IS OPEN it does NOT SAVE the updated playlist order.

Hope this helps.

I can save a playlist's order in details view but not in art view...
Seems fine here. What steps to reproduce?

Thanks, I knew a Mantis entry existed for this.

I can confirm that the second playlist opened in the Art & Details view does sort incorrectly. I'm trying to see if a Mantis entry exists as I've seen similar issues come by in the past.

If I am on Details View and switch to Album Art with Details, everything is fine. But if I then stay on Album Art with Details and select another playlist, the list is shown in the wrong order (titles from the same Album are grouped together). In this situation selecting the list (play now) the titles are added in the wrong order for playback. If I switch back to details view, everything is fine again. Am I missing something? I'm not using the Debug-Version, btw.

I can't reproduce either. Changing view doesn't change sort order on playlist.

I cannot replicate, it works fine here with 4.0.0.1448. The song order is same for both the views. Songs in a playlist are grouped by a single album art only if they are subsequent (and belongs to a same album) .

If "Show Art with Details" is enabled, then titles with the same Album Art are grouped together and the order within the playlist is ignored. The check mark "Enable grouping (Artwork Views") is NOT set! If I then choose "play now/next/last" the playlist is played with the wrong title order (the grouped order). If you use the details-view ("Show Details") without Album art, everything is fine. If you are on details-view and switch to "Show Art with Details" the order is correct as far as you do not change the selected playlist. This is very annoying. Is this by design, or is it a kind of a bug?
I use a fresh install of Mediamonkey (just bought a Liftime license) on Windows 7 32bit.
Kind regards
