I remember posting in a thread somewhere on scripts that I found the erro to be a blank space was at 0.0 in the script and it was not ms liking that space that causes the error. Now what forum or community I posted that in some yrs back is unknown to me now. Thought it was here sorry if it wasn't.

One wonders what is meant by "new" in "Status new" :)

Thanks very much for reporting this bug.

It just bit me (my first time working with VBScript in MM) and really had me baffled (and wasting time) until I found this report.

Too bad its been 5 years since you reported it and is still a problem!

MM v. 4.1.7.1741

No variability seen here, RC.

Agreed - I think yours must be a different cause.

i sometimes get the same type of error?

monkey will play the script no trouble. but every now and then the same script tosses an alert saying vbsscript error.
can not create sdbplaylist... same script that worked earlier but now gets an error alert.

makes no sense to me. i'm glad you posted you got an error alert also.

1286 Unfound script Sub gives misleading error [6355]

Upon launching a script having no Sub corresponding to the ProcName declared in scripts.ini, MM gives a misleading error message e.g.:
Error #13 - Microsoft VBScript runtime error
Type mismatch: 'TDJsetlist'
File: "C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\TDJ setlist.vbs", Line: 1, Column: 0
OK
In this case script.ini contained:
[TDJsetlist]
FileName=TDJ setlist.vbs
ProcName=TDJsetlist
Order=50
DisplayName=TDJ se&tlist
Description=Creates a setlist of selected tracks
Language=VBScript
ScriptType=1
and TDJ setlist.vbs failed to contain Sub TDJsetlist
