Can some reupload the ION V v 0.6 theme? It seems to have been deleted from mediafire.

we will see what can be done :) I'm here to help. We are prepared and that was why we released MM4 Alpha.

The best would be to be able to skin the frame using aero effects.
Like in Jriver (noir glass skin)

Greetings

Thanks Peke,
I already post this to Petr and he is aware about ,

the only solution at the moment is to run MM4 in XP compatibility modus ( if you use Vista or Win7 )

But make no sense ,when you have a 32 core nuclear powered and helium cooled system

Hmm... It looks that you are right.

That would be a shame. In the little time I've messed with MM4, I find that I'm not liking the addition of Aero effects. There are some programs where it looks nice, and others that to me just makes it look horrible. I was glad when I found the 'guide' on how to disable the Aero frame for Windows Live Messenger 2009, and thus far MM4 is looking like a program that could stand to not have it (personally speaking of course). I would hope some way of overriding it would be offered (either to the skinners or users).

That's completely understandable.

I can't really say that I have anything specific in mind. Perhaps something maybe in a similar vein as UMP (which is quite neat, just a little too... weird looking for me) in terms of color scheme perhaps, with the darker grays. Then again, seeing the Ion-V mini player (for the first time, only ever looked at the main screen shot for it prior), it looks quite beautiful (except your choice of color of course :P). Would it be possible to skin the tree, main panel, etc in a similar manner? Like I mentioned before, I really like the way that the Ion-V player looks, it just seems a little weird that it's as if the skin doesn't expand to the main panel, tree, etc. almost like it wasn't completed. You know?

That all said, I still do like regular Ion so it's no problem if you don't release any other variations. Besides, the less time you spend on variations for this skin or that, the more time you have for new original skins, right? Haha.

i am just posting here to agree with you dreadm i too am waiting for the official mm 4 release only i'm going to update some of my mm 3 skins and not make any mm 4 skins as i don't have anything that will see the areo style.

I'm back again. I've been using this skin since I came to ask you about the border back in October, shows how often I change skins, lol. Anyway, while I love the overall design of the skin and everything, there is one thing that bothers me at time. It's brightness! It's not really that bad, but I'm someone who tends to prefer darker skins (evident by the fact Vision was my long standing skin prior to switching to this one). So I'm kind of wondering what the chances of you dusting this skin off to do a kind of... uh... "Ion Dark" if you will. You've got Ion-V with the darker player (though not a big fan of the chosen color, more of a red and black fan myself) but that's where it ends. The tree, tracklist, etc. are still light like the normal version. I had a hard enough time following your instructions to "fix" the border so I imagine an "color scheme change" is out of my reach, lol.

The skin is quite old and I know you skinners can't make everyone happy with their own personal customized version, so if you don't want to mess with it for whatever reason that's fine, but I thought it couldn't hurt to at least toss the idea of a darker version out there.

There it is. Thanks. :) While I was at it, I copied it and changed the copies settings to how it originally was, so there is a border on both sides if I have MonkeyRok open (which is docked on the right). That isn't going to break anything... is it? The question is probably a tell-tell sign, but I'm a bit of a n00b when it comes to skins.

First of all, note that I haven't read through the thread (as there is quite a few posts) so this may have already been discussed/explained. However in your screen shot in the first post, the Ion skin shows a border of sorts between the Tree panel and the main panel. However after installing it, I find that there is no distinguishable border there which bothers me. One other (personal) issue I see with the skin is the Artwork window. The top and left sides are gray(?) with the right and bottom border being white. This makes it a little difficult to distinguish between unintentional white space on covers (due to a bad scan or crop) and the border already there. Is there a way of making those areas gray as well instead of white?

EDIT: Nevermind on the second issue. Turns out it was the MonkeyRok album art window that was the problem. Appears to only be an issue with it.

Keep in mind that this isn't a final release so backup your database before installing. You shouldn't have any problems (I haven't) but ya never know.
