@drakinite made quick addon that will add Read Tags from File under Edit Tags context menu.

It does need to check each file and compare timestamp with MediaMonkey.

What is your definition of fast?
I see 1 minute 39 for half the number of tracks that the OP has.
That is a scan with no changed files.
Network Drive hard wired via cat 6.

There is also a possibility that someone makes addon for MM5 taht will use our API https://www.mediamonkey.com/docs/api/cl ... gsFromFile that can be initiated from Context menu ona selected tracks.

You can scan only selected folder(s) or use Folder Monitoring and have MediaMonkey running while files are being updated.

Do note that rescanning should be fast for existing files as only changed files will be re-read.

But with 100000 files, I would rather just read specific selected files than re scan the whole library again... as I know what files I have modified...

Scanning reads tags changes made outside of MediaMonkey.

I see Edit tags / Update tags but this updates the tag (flie) from the library... as far as I can determine!
Is there functionality to update library from tags from a random selection of files/titles?
for example
I use MixMeister to add BPM to my files where it is missing, so I drag a random selection of unmeasured BPM files (random files) to the MixMeister open application and it processes the files I dropped into the app BUT
But I see nowhere that I can re read the files back to MM5...
Yes, sometimes it recognizes that there has been a change and updates the library but not all the time.
