Use Tools -> Options -> Library -> Tags and playlists and set UTF-8 and then you can just bulk rename M3U -> M3U8 if they are in M3U extension.

I need M3U8 files for a specific use with another program, but MM5 only exports playlists in bulk in M3U format. I have lots of playlists so I don't want to have to export them one by one (which I just did and it was no fun, alas).

Does anyone know of a third party app maybe that I can use to bulk convert the M3U files that MM5 spits out to M3U8 format?
