Thanks for that, something I should try. I had no end of trouble with USB sync with my S4, to the point I gave up. USB sync doesn't seem to be easily possible with the Samsung Galaxy S4. When you plug it into the computer it doesn't appear as a drive letter, which I think is a requirement to manage the music.

It's only when WiFi sync became possible I tried it again. has USB sync gotten better in the past 6 months?

I don't understand much about MMA... I've read all the documentation, which is to say, very little.

The aim was once I delete music from the computer I want it deleted from the Android device. I sync over WiFi.

That tip was really helpful though. I had to select "delete other files and playlists from the device" : "all other media files".

I am not sure if I fully understand what you are asking, and how much you already understand about how MM synching facility works.

MM Synch can be configured to tidy up unwanted files from the android device.
See Tools|Options|PortableDeviceSynch, select your device, press Configure, then select "Auto_Synch (-->Device).

Hover the mouse over the "Delete other files ... etc etc" control to read the tooltip description & warning.

There is no other documentation about how all this works. I have it set to delete "Unselected Library files" with "Confirm Deletion" checked.

As you have already deleted the files from the PC you may need to use the "All other media files option" after checking all your music in the "Choose which files to keep synched" control at the top of the dialogue box. ... but I am not really sure.

Once you get used to how it all works it is a really neat synch tool. You can't use Rating as a synch criteria, but you could work araound this with a "Synch" genre perhaps?

MM Android is really coming along, I'm enjoying using it, and I'll very likely buy it when it's finished.

I've deleted some tracks on the library on my PC, based on ratings I did on the Android device. I'd now like to remove tracks from the Android device that have been removed from the library, or alternately remove tracks rated say 1 star or below.

Are either of these possible? If not is it something that could be added?
