Handling Super Audio CDs (SACD)

In order to finish moving my library from MP3 to FLAC I am left with around 1500 tracks to "upgrade". This has sort of pushed me in the direction of SACDs. This is how I have handled - any suggestions / improvements appreciated: My Notes ======== Media Monkey 4 and 5 do not appear to directly ...

Re: Mirrored Synchronization

Hi Peke, Sort of! I was using your steps 1 and 2 - in effect - by virtue of a "Collection" rather than an Auto-Playlist. Also, my Tool / Auto-Organise and "Ctrl+R" Organise have essentially the same "mask". Meaning I can use either. I have found that I prefer to use the "Ctrl+R" Organise as there ...

Re: Mirrored Synchronization

Hi CK, If you sync using Playlist then things will be kept up-to-date between you MMW library and the MMA device. A specific outline of the steps: 1). Place new files (CD Rip or download) into a separate Download location. Currently, I am using E:\Download. 2). Make any edits to the Album Artist ...

Re: How to print a list of albums

Hi Rover, Another way to get a list of the albums is to use DB Browser for SQL Lite. Open a backup of your MM5.DB in DBB4SQLL, select Browse Data and then the table Albums. The table can then be exported to a Comma Separated file or "printed" to say a PDF. Note that the table will include all Types ...

Re: Feature request: Duplicate Titles/Artist/Album?

Hi pxd, You may want to take a look at the Duplicate Content option - a couple of click down from the option you cited. In my library I have ~32% tracks that have "Duplicate Titles and Artists". This is primarily different albums that have the same track. If I ignore the artist, then the Duplicate ...

Re: [REQ] Play user defined % of track and then advance

Not an unreasonable request to have a % or seconds preview option. I do something similar when reviewing a new download. Not to rate the file but to allow MMW2024 to lookup lyrics. The way I handle is that I use a HP Windows Media Centre PC keyboard that has a "remote" control with next track. But ...

Re: added (date a file is added to the DB)

Hi, there is an example Playlist called "Recently Added" but that also has the criterium of Added <(days ago) nn [PLUS a second limitation based on either megabytes / files or minutes. I do not think you can do exactly what you want currently with MMW 2024. In MMW4 there is a add-on called Magic ...

Re: added (date a file is added to the DB)

Consider creating a Collection (Tools / Options / Library / Collections and Views). Use something like the following criterium: Match ALL Added <(Days Ago) 14 Type equals Music; Audiobooks; Classical Music In the All Files view of the Collection, add columns like Album Artist; Artist; Album; Title ...

Re: Progress bar color.

There is a very good chance that you will find one of the available "skins" more acceptable. Take a look at: https://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/browse/mediamonkey-5/appearance-1/skins-1/ I do not recall a particular skin that allows you to set the Progress colour, but the colour schemes used by ...

Re: Album title rename issue

If you wish to change the Album Name of multiple files, I would suggest using the Left Panel Media Tree. For example, using the Entire Library or Music Node, you can drill down by selecting the artist and then album. With the album selected / highlighted then press F2... Keep an eye on the status ...

Not so much "Force" but edit after Ripping files... So - taking Wish You Were Here - as the example: Do you want?: Disc 1 Track 1 Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Pts. 1-5.flac Disc 1 Track 2 Welcome To The Machine.flac Disc 1 Track 3 Have A Cigar.flac Disc 1 Track 4 Wish You Were Here.flac Disc 1 Track ...
