1708 and Wasapi -- doesn't work [#12099]

Hey all! Longtime MM user here. I have been extremely happy with the MediaMonkey wasapi output: I was finally able to get truly gapless bit-perfect output. But I just upgraded to 1708, and wasapi has stopped working. When I double-click on a track, MM hangs up indefinitely. I've had to switch back t...

Re: Help with album display?!

All I need to do is figure out how to place the renamed files in the same path-location minus one folder Did you try In your case if you're just doing files in Disc subdirectories you should be able to use ..\<Disc#>-<Filename> as ..\ moves files up one directory. That did it. Thank you! I guess I ...

Re: Help with album display?!

Thanks for all your help. I've been poring over the Wiki page "Configuring Directory and Filename Formats," but it's all a bit baffling to me. Your approach is very elegant; unfortunately, it won't work for me, given the vagaries of my tagging scheme. All I need to do is figure out how to place the ...

Re: Help with album display?!

Okay, so this is definitely the way for me to go (i.e., Auto-Organize). But apparently I'm an idiot, because I can't figure out to make it do what I want for multiple albums simultaneously. What I want: to rename the files in the selected albums to include disc number, i.e., <Disc#>-<Filename>. I wa...

Re: Help with album display?!

In short, this is what I want: the "Path" sort header to be integrated with or somehow 'communicate' with the "Album" field such that it lumps together single albums, according to Album title, even if the files which comprise those albums are split into separate subfolders (assuming, of course, that...

Re: Help with album display?!

On 4.0.7 I did an Advanced Search with a couple of multi-disc Albums as result and set sort on Path. Each multi-disc Album has a single entry in the Art with Details view. However Disc# is in the filename for me. If you do this does it show correct or incorrect for you? Sorry for not replying soone...

Re: When to use: "level track volume" when ripping cd to fla

I have read the wiki on this subject and glanced through the forum and am mystifed if I should be enabling this in the ripping process or not. I'm just an IT guy with 35 years in the field and this is not obvious to me. What am I missing, of does the wiki on how to use Mediamonkey need to be improv...

Help with album display?!

Hello all! When I switched from MM3 to MM4, something changed in on how the "Album Art With Details" view handled multi-disc albums. At the time, I posted about it as a 'bug.' But the experts seemed to agree that it was no bug at all. In fact, they were puzzled as to why MM3 acted as it did for me. ...

Re: [1470] Seizing/Crashing/Hanging constantly

I did as suggested. Thanks, lowlander! - The program I use for defragmentation said that the DB file was not fragmented. - I ran the "Maintain Library" function (I'd never noticed, let alone used, it before!), first the 'quick' option, then the 'complete' option. I had no problems for a few days. Bu...

Not a double-post -- or not entirely. I was also responding to the this:

[1470] Seizing/Crashing/Hanging constantly

Ever since upgrading to 4, MM has been frustratingly unreliable on my machine (Windows 7). I began upgrading to the beta-testing builds in the hope that they would solve the problem(s). No such luck. I've searched the forum (perhaps not thoroughly enough), and the most I found was a link to a page d...

Re: [1470]Autoplaylist: Albums split under show art with det

I am using 1470 (with Gold). I too have noticed Auto-playlists doing some kooky things with 4. (Under Art With Details view.) For instance, I have a "Recently Added" auto-playlist. I sort by Date Added (Z... A) and Album (A... Z). But sometimes the albums are split weirdly, e.g., track 1 taking up i...

Re: Art+Details View: Multi-disc albums not grouped together

I have the same albums as you and also use a very similar file structure and this is my screen shot. This is also sorted on path and selecting a higher level folder (in my case "C") This was using MM 4.0.3.1464 That's just how I want it to work! I upgraded to 4.0.3.1465, but no difference in how th...

Some background: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=8946
They did not split using MM3. Is there anyway to undo whatever changed in MM4?
