Re: Guns N' Roses [not Guns N Roses]
I am asking a lot of questions. I know. "PMEDIA"'s uploads add a bunch of tags to the "usual" tags. So, they include "ARTIST" in all caps in addition to the Artist tag [for example]. Also, "ALBUM ARTIST" and many more. How does MM5 deal with these if you don't do any processing outside of MM5 first ...

Yes, that's different. You get that menu when you install dBpoweramp.TheEmpathicEar wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 5:50 pm I was talking about using DBPowerAMP's add-ons to Windows Explorer. I thought that was different than using Explorer alone to edit tags, etc.

Re: Guns N' Roses [not Guns N Roses]
@Lowlander I did the first part of your post above. But, after this I simply did a Scan/Rescan and everything seems fine. "Guns N' Roses" in the tags and in the folder under "My Music". It would seem I did something different. I never used "Organize Files"? EDIT: Ah, I used Windows Explorer and ...

Re: Guns N' Roses [not Guns N Roses]
It's easy to edit your own tags.
Don't expect all files to be tagged exactly how you would like them. Everyone has different tagging standards, depending on the source. All new music that I add to MM, I check that all the tags are correct and add additional data or edit existing stuff.

Re: MediaMonkey Corrupts Windows (Explorer) [#21345]
Thanks for that, @PetrCBR.
I seems like you nailed it. It's been working well. I've opened and closed MM about 10 times without any issues.
Well done.
It'd be interesting to know if the fix works for @FlexFlexerson too.

Re: MediaMonkey Corrupts Windows (Explorer) [#21345]
3076 is NOT working with the installer you sent me. Did you replace the correct file in the installer? This is the file that is working for me. Re: MediaMonkey Corrupts Windows (Explorer) [#21345]
flex, We received the ticket, but the log wasn't attached. Can you share a link to the log (e.g. using dropbox or any other file sharing service) instead via the helpdesk ticket? dypsis, It probably wouldn't hurt if you shared a log as well since the cases may be slightly different. And yes, it ...

Re: MediaMonkey Corrupts Windows (Explorer)
Dypsis, Flex, Thanks for all the info. We suspect that the reason it's occurring for 3057 and not 3051 is because of the change made in 3054 . If our hypothesis is correct, the reason it wouldn't occur on a clean install but would occur on the upgrade from v4 could be because the upgrade has ...

Re: MediaMonkey Corrupts Windows (Explorer)
Hi, Does update to 3057 Triggers same behavior? If yes, does clean portable install of 3057/3074 in new folders without importing observe same behavior? I am asking because you caan easily start problematic versions and then start working one without restarting PC. OK. I have an update. I created a ...

Re: MediaMonkey Corrupts Windows (Explorer)
dypsis, One other thing: we made a change in build 3054 that might be related: https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=21202 Can you confirm whether the issue occurs in build 3057 ( https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=521917#p521917 ) ? Thanks! Yes, the issue is also in 3057 ...

Re: MediaMonkey Corrupts Windows (Explorer)
When you test this. Open Task Manager first, then mediamonkey. Then look if there is any process using High CPU, Disk or Memory, and if there is please make a printscreen and post that here. Also check for disk corruption: Open Command Prompt (cmd) as Administrator and run/type: sfc /scannow Did ...

Re: MediaMonkey Corrupts Windows (Explorer)
Hi dypsis, This sounds pretty serious, but we're unable to replicate this so far :-( Can you tell me: - is the issue triggered just by launching MM (i.e. you don't have to do anything else)? - does the issue occur when you run the latest MMW in portable mode? - does explorer stop responding ...
