Re: add a filetype to be moved by library

Thanks for that - I tend to use Librarylocation a lot as my media is mostly genre\album artist and i hate the genre\artist node.

Re: add a filetype to be moved by library

never mind, it seems this is core functionality. It seems that MM identifies associated files in the folder and prompts for them. Strange it was not working before, but now is.

add a filetype to be moved by library

Hi all, I am using Torq [which is great] with an xponent deck to mix tunes. I'd like to continue using MediaMonkey to manage library. The problem is that torq writes these little mapping files to to the same folder as the mp3s. When I move my music around the hard disk using the auto-organize featur...

Amazon Script Idea

Hello all. I have an idea for a script. It requires some knowledge of Amazon and its wishlist functionality though - which I know very little about. I think this idea would really benefit our community, and post it here in the hope that someone can help with actual code, or links to code examples th...

Re: auto-organize mask help needed

excellent - it was - thank you!!

I think I get it now, so the comma not only seperates the old and new values but also acts as an or delimiter as well.

Is that right? I was struggling to work out how to write or actions for elements lower down the tree.

Thanks again

(ps - yep Various Artists :) )

Earliest release dates script

Anyone know of a reliable source for release date information - that has been magicified into a script?

Year information is probably the most time consuming part of my tagging as I have not found a way to do it via batch.

auto-organize mask help needed

I am sorry the subject line is not clearer for SEO, but I think I may struggle to get this across in the text box; let alone the subject line. Ok, I have searched the forum, and scratched my head whilst looking at the masking examples I could find. I cant work it out, so I need help. What I am tryin...

Re: recompiling compilation albums

Thanks for all the replies I think I may have been unclear. None have the correct album title. The only correct identifiers I have for each track are track title track artist Some may have the correct tracks numbers and album art embedded. It is looking like the only way I can do this is to copy and...

recompiling compilation albums

Well my library is horribly messed up, and I could really do with some help. I have lots of compilation albums that I know my library has every track for. However, these tracks are now scattered throughout my library - with new album, album artist, and cover art metadata values. To try and resolve t...

Re: List of genre's

I made this list for you Trix. I tagged all the songs from my library. I have about 1200 Artist and have 750 genre's. I Extracted all these genres and imported them in Excel. I filtered them and sorted them so I'd know how many times a genre existed. Example: I have 2500 'Rock' tracks. Now decided ...

Thank you very VERY MUCH! For an extremely long time I have been listening to music [every now and again] in a linux environment or mangling it in a cubase/pro tools session. I had not looked at mixmeiester in years. It feels really good to be rediscovering my music collection :) So good I have star...

New member saying hello!

Hello there, Firstly, I’d like to say thank you to the development team, to those who have been creating scripts and plugins, and all the people who have written helpful posts on here. In the last few days I have come back to mediamonkey and frankly, I am blown away by it. For a long time I have bee...
