Enough is enough: MM sucks across sync, album art
I have been a MM user for 10 years. Yes, ten years. It is a very long time and basically ..too long. Since the very beginning i have had issues with synchronisation of music. In the early days it was with my ipod. Then with my iphone. The came the dodgy DB replication mecanism. Since a couple of yea...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes plugin (d_itunes4.dll)
i tried to reuse this plug in today with MM version 4.1.6 .1624 It works for files but it misses the creation of playlists in the MMiTunes folder. Therefore no way to push the playlists to iPod.. The issue is printed below (end of the plugin sync process): d_itunes4.dll 2438 13:37:33 EXCEPTION Log c...

Re: Sync with Sony xperia z3 (KitKat) compact with ext SD ca

Re: Sync between MMW and MMA - back to a basic "use case"
MMA > MMW would only sync metadata (and play counts) back to MMW, not files. You can enable files to sync MMA > MMW, but that would only be for files that weren't synced MMW > MMA. That is incorrect. MMA spends endless time trying to transfer new files back or forth. Actually i do not know what is ...

Sync between MMW and MMA - back to a basic "use case"
i have been an MM user since the very early days - probably around 10 years now. Can someone clearly explain what synchronisation should do over the songs on the Android compared to MMW ? See the following use case: 1/ A playlist is loaded/synced to the Android device 2/ The user plays some songs a....

Re: SD card not shows in media tree
Thanks, this was the right thing to do: Select the USB device (d_USBMass1.dll) in the device list and configure it.
As per the speed of the sync through the SD in PC slot compared to the USB link to the telephone, there is no clear better option, both are quite the same.

Re: SD card not shows in media tree
no - all devices are checked - there must be something inside MMW as windows recognises ok.

SD card not shows in media tree
my SD card is recognised by windows (get a windows on insertion, etc..) but it does not appear in the media tree, therefore can't sync. any idea what triggets a device to showup in the MMW media tree ? The only other option is to put the SD card in the phone and connect the phone to MMW. This works ...

Re: Sync performance and questions
Just curious - where is this set ?I specifically do not want this. I only expect MMA to send back to MMW metadata, that is it.Lowlander wrote:I don't have MMW set to sync files back from MMA so I don't see this happening. .

Sync performance and questions
i have used MMA for almost a year now on a Huawei equipped with an SD card The sync performance is still a big issue - probably the biggest - in the daily use. The sync over wifi which is the most complete takes very long, 2-3 sec by song requires several hours to upload a complete song library. The...

Re: MMA sync over wifi performance aspects
If you're not using wifi sync you should use USB sync directly to the device. This will allow MMW to update the MMA database. Taking the SD card out won't allow for this and thus MMA relies on Android Media for file information (this lacks tags). Can you elaborate on this ? that sounds very interst...

MMA sync over wifi performance aspects
After a month of use of MMA, i am having some comments on the sync function: -sync over wifi works ok, but is extremely slow -it relies on wifi, and pushing MP3 over any wifi is not optimal. -major uploads of library (i have a library of about 7000 songs that i upload by pieces of 500 to 1000 songs ...
