Re: iPhone 4 Artwork Problem - 3.2.2.1298

MaFt - It certainly is appreciated! You'll see plenty of me on these forums trying to help (though I'm usually not much help).

I think most people try to help when they can, but I definitely know what you mean.
Thanks again!

Re: iPhone 4 Artwork Problem - 3.2.2.1298

MaFt - that is exactly what I needed, Thanks!! It seems that everything is adding up correctly now then: I have 2486 songs - taking up around 9GB (all auto-converted down to 128kbps) I have 1158 albums - b/c most of my music on the phone is from playlists instead of full albums (more art work) That ...

Re: iPhone 4 Artwork Problem - 3.2.2.1298

Good point! I have learned that lesson the hard-way. Luckily I have MM files backed up on several diff. computers. I guess I do backup these files myself (including DB & settings), but to another location with a naming convention to stayed organized. Though, the original iPhone.dll that comes with t...

Re: iPhone 4 Artwork Problem - 3.2.2.1298

Not to be nosey, but why are you keeping the older instance of the .dll? I'd just delete it, or save over top whenever jiri releases updates. (Or just move the old one to a place to backup - maybe with the date of release to keep track). Either way, happy it seems to be working for you. When you fin...

Re: iPhone 4 Artwork Problem - 3.2.2.1298

I've done both full syncs and added an album here and there with success (though I still have the large album art folder issue described above) Dan- is it possible that you have (2) instances of the iPhone.dll in your plugins folder? I am not sure, but it is worth a check. It could also explain why ...

Re: iPhone 4 Artwork Problem - 3.2.2.1298

I am certain that I have the latest plugin, and I did delete all of the artwork files with the exception of the ArtworkDB file, which I assume only holds metadata rather than images and is the smallest file present. After deleting the images each time, this file is always the same size. I will not b...

Re: iPhone 4 Artwork Problem - 3.2.2.1298

Well, I've resynced my phone and there has been some improvement in regards to the space Artwork is taking up, but it is still over 1.7 GB (for 2485 mp3s). Is this normal. I do not believe my artwork is any bigger than normal or anything. Please see attached screen shot of iPhone contents: http://im...

Re: iPhone 4 Artwork Problem - 3.2.2.1298

Jiri - One thing I'm noticing with both the current and previous iPhone.dll is that if I uncheck playlists that were previously synced to the phone and Auto sync, nothing is deleted. I can, however, manually delete songs/playlists.

Not sure if others are experiencing this type of behavior.
Thanks

Re: iPhone 4 Artwork Problem - 3.2.2.1298

Jiri - I'll download the new dll and test resync with cleared library, then report back this evening.

MaFt - glad you got it sorted out. When you get time, can you see how your album art size on disc (phone) is measuring up, just for comparison?

I'd appreciate it!

Re: iPhone 4 Artwork Problem - 3.2.2.1298

I've done some more testing and syncing and by syncing smaller amounts of playlists at a time have gotten most of my playlists onto my iPhone 4. There has to be something wrong with the way MM is handling Album Art though. I used a software called iPhone Browser to check the size of my "Artwork" fol...

Re: iPhone 4 Artwork Problem - 3.2.2.1298

Thanks Jiri!

What about the difference between what my actual free space is compared to what MM shows as both what will sync (while auto converting) and the iPhone's available free space?

Anyone else experience this now or in previous versions?
Thanks

Re: iPhone 4 Artwork Problem - 3.2.2.1298

OK, just tried to Auto-sync all my playlists (aprox 2500 songs) at once. iTunes said that I had 11.5 GB available on phone. Mediamonkey says that when I sync and auto convert (128kbps) it will take up 9GB. I began sync and when it got about 80% through it crashed MM and my iPhone said that I ran out...

Re: iPhone 4 Artwork Problem - 3.2.2.1298

I too seem to be having success on my iPhone 4 (iOS 4.0.1) syncing aprox 2500 mp3s (converting all more than 128kbps to 128). So far, the only issue I am having is that described by "Zoe" in regrads to the thubmnail view off the album art.

I will continue to test and report back.
Thanks
