ComServerUIActive does not seem to be a valid property

I am receiving the dreaded "there are still com objects......" when trying to close MM. I followed the advice of using the ComServerUIActive property of SDBApplication given in the documentation, but I am getting an invalid property name error. In using the COM/ActiveX Inspector from Oakland softwar...

A java interface to MM3

I have written a java interface to control MM using the open source jacob package and the SongsDB.... ActiveX objects. Everything is working beautifully except the events side. Jacob allows the trapping of of events using standard OLE/COM conventions, but MM does not seem to abide by these conventio...

Associating jscript scripts with hotkeys

I am writing a set of scripts that I will associate with the buttons of a remote control unit. My scripts are all in jscript. In attempting to assign a script to a hotkey I ran into difficulties because, apparently, MM assumes they are vb scripts despite their .js extensions and the fact that they a...

Re: Registering a jscript event handler

Jiri, You're a wiz -- that's exactly the problem. It does however create another issue in jscript. The script I'm building requires that the event handlers be anonymous, which is perfectly valid in ECMA script (jscript, javascript). Using registerEvent apparently requires a named script as a handler...

Re: Registering a jscript event handler

By experimentation, I have found the following: It is possible to register an event for a DOM element by assigning it a js function as an "on" event (e.g. element.onclick=function(){...}). The event however is ineffective unless the Script.registerEvent is also called for any event on the element (e...

Re: Registering a jscript event handler

Ray, This is javascript not vbscript. The assignment operation = is strictly that -- assignment. The logical equality test is == as in java and c++. VB is riddled with such ambiguities (viz. the symbol ":"). Javascript also allows multiple assignments in one statement: a=b=c...=z results in everythi...

Re: Registering a jscript event handler

I have extracted the minimum code necessary to demonstrate what seems to be happening. Here it is: function HTMLWindow(html){ with(this){ this.form = SDB.UI.newForm; with(form){ formPosition = (ScreenCenter=4); borderStyle = (DialogBorder=3); caption = "Tester"; with(common){ setRect(0,0,400,200); v...

Registering a jscript event handler

I am using a script to build an html window to display in a large font the characteristics of the track that is currently playing. So far it works like a charm, but now I want to add a button that will hide or show the window. I am able to register an onclick event with the button element in webbrow...

Font support in SDB.UI controls does not work BUG#5258

In testing 3.1, I found that, although font properties are now supported, they do not seem to work. Try the following jscript: var form = SDB.UI.newForm; var label = SDB.UI.newLabel(form); TRACE("-Before: "+label.Common.FontBold); label.Common.FontBold = true; TRACE("-After: "+label.Common.FontBold)...

Re: FontSize in common element of SDBUILabel

Bex,

I just visited the download and the support sites and cannot find any reference to version 3.1.0.

Can you tell me where I can find it?

Thx,
Dick Francoeur

Re: FontSize in common element of SDBUILabel

Bex, Thanks for your amazingly fast response. That must be the problem. I checked and found that I am running MM3 gold version 3.0.4.1185. I will update right away. The background of the UIForm is not consistent with the skin -- it is a uniform gray and for the panels of the skin it is black. I deve...

FontSize in common element of SDBUILabel

I have been trying in vain to set the font properties of an SDBUILabel in an MM3 script by setting <label object>.Common.FontSize = 32. I keep getting the message "object does not support this property" (I am using jscript.) Other properties such as align, enable etc. seem to be OK but I can neither...

Customizing what is displayed by internal player

I am new to mediamonkey and am wowed by it all. I would like to be able to change the fields that are displayed by the internal player (e.g. include 'composer' & 'grouping'). Could anyone describe how I could go about doing this?

TIA,
Dick Francoeur
