Does Portable install use relative paths?

My REALLY big problem with MM has been the inability to import/export the sync lists, so my desktop and laptop both had different ideas about what was sync'd and what needed to be sync'd, even thou they were looking at the same network media store. The portable install allows me to work around this,...

For reference, if anyone wants to tinker with this, here is the python script I made:

And there is think is where it all falls over....

Does the plugin API allow for anything like this?

Re: Autoplaylist generator, and clever logic on comments fie

Thanks, I already have a way of adding all the data to the comments field on the tag, that's the easy part! What was challenging, was that these data values are numeric double data types for "energy" and "danceability" (i.e. 0.798 ) so would need a custom parser to be able to und...

Autoplaylist generator, and clever logic on comments field.

I have discovered the magic of Echo Nest ( http://the.echonest.com/ ), and have realised this could make me some really intelligent playlists. I have a python script I created that parses my entire media collection and populates it with data from Echo Nest. Currently, the only standard field I have ...

Echo Nest and Autoplaylists

Anyone know of a way to create Autoplaylists using Echo Nests data?

For reference, if anyone wants to tinker with this, here is the python script I made:

Was also looking to see if this was available, or if someone had done a plugin.

Played around with the API and it's amazing......

Re: MM for Mac - I just switched to Apple

This is some BS - I just got a macbook in July - I absolutely hate iTunes Then don't buy Apple... Your post makes no sense.. There is no reason to buy Apple products, there are better smartphones out there for less money (SGS3, Nexus4, Xperia T to name a few), no reliance on iTunes at all and the f...

Re: Save SyncList - Feature for 4.1

Can you explain further?

I have a mixture of playlists (some autoplaylists, some M3U) and a large selection of full albums (picked in the synclist, not album playlists). How can I save this as a sync-list for that device, and move it to another PC?

Save SyncList - Feature for 4.1

I really hope so.

MY only major gripe with MM, is the inability to have the same synclist for my devices on my desktop and laptop, so it doesn't matter which one I use to sync the media to my devices. (both computers can see the same media collection).

Re: 4.0.7.1510 tested on anything but iPhone? -Android MTP p

Attaching the device (Xperia S) before starring MediaMonkey makes no difference. Log below: (I left it until after it did the startup media scan, then disconnected the device and reconnected) 00000001 0.00000000 [1624] WMDM: Device change message 00000002 0.00006154 [1624] WMDM: Queueing action id:0...

4.0.7.1510 Android MTP regression [#9959]

It doesn't detect my MTP Android device. Reverting to 4.0.6 works, going back to 4.0.7, it's broken again.

Seems bizzare situation that you care more for your iPhone support than anything else.

Re: Cannnot Synchronize Playlists Since MM 4.03 Upgrade

I'm guessing this got broke when Android devices got fixed (they were getting Sansa .PLA playlists in 4.02 instead of M3U!!)

Can MM devs make sure they don't regress the Android fix when they fix this one.. I only just for MM4 working correctly!!!

Re: Best NON-Apple player

You pretty much get what you pay for. If it's just music, get a Walkman, they sound FANTASTIC, and you won't believe what you have been missing listening to Apple's frankly rubbish sound quality all these years. If you want a decent phone/music player, and mid to high end Android phone. My favorite ...
