Re: finding lyrics?

thanks for the reply. but i'm actully looking for places to turn to when the various scripts and plugins fail. what websites do people use when you have to manually search for lyrics because the scripts can't find them? i think i'll have to transcribe some myself in the end. that's what i get for li...

finding lyrics?

where does everyone go for lyrics when automated searches fail? i'm only half-way through the C's right now, but i have already come across several albums for which i cannot find lyrics, even with extensive google searching. being a compulsive completist, i have to either have lyrics for all of my t...

Re: rating tracks - is it worth it?

well, i did it. i rated all my tracks. i was home sick half of last week, and i spent two whole days sitting in front of my computer rating every song in my library. and i'm so glad i did! making autoplaylists works so much better now! plus, the whole exercise forced me to re-think my entire collect...

MediaMonkey works great on Windows 7, Beta 1!

I just thought I'd throw that out there.

Maybe later I can post a screenshot to get everyone drooling over 7's awesomeness :)

Re: rating tracks - is it worth it?

well, i have pretty much decided not to go through with track ratings. i've payed close attention to my listening habits over the last several days, and i'm realizing that i'm really an album person. i don't have any single tracks, and i have very few soundtracks/compilations. instead, i tend to fin...

Re: rating tracks - is it worth it?

thanks for all the replies :) i've had some time the last few days to experiment with this. just set up hotkeys for rating and do it as i listen to my whole library on shuffle. it's harder than i imagined :( the biggest problem is i listen to a lot of different styles of music, and what i listen to ...

Re: did MM synch my album art??

Did you check that the same album art on your PC does take up more space on your PC? The issue is that when you embed that you embed each image in each track, whereas with external art you only store it once per album thus taking up less space. you know, i didn't even consider that. i just did a qu...

Re: did MM synch my album art??

i'd still like a comment on this. i checked my synch settings, and MM was not set to transfer my external album art or to embed album art on the fly. it's a mystery!

rating tracks - is it worth it?

even though i've been using digital music since the mid 90s, i have never used track ratings. this is mostly because i never knew how it would be useful. well, now that i have discovered MM, i can think of lots of ways that i could use track ratings, from filters to nodes to playlists. trouble is, i...

Re: Monkey Rok 4.0 [MM2+3]

i have a quick question - where in the skin.css file do i set the text colour for the now playing track? the highlighted track text colour turns to white when i roll over it, but the now playing text colour remains black when it is highlighted with the playing colour. http://i40.tinypic.com/2s9wzm8....

Re: MediaMonkey Screenshots

http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/1677/mmqi6.th.png the available skins are too garish for me, so i'm doin' what i can with the non-skinned mode. it will look a lot better when/if i can change the fonts and colours  i'm considering tearing apart the visual style i'm using, along with the matchi...

Re: fonts and micro player in non-skinned mode

thanks again for the info. i don't think the fonts are coming from explorer because all of mine are set to the same font via an msstyles file, but the font MM shows is different. well i'll just stick around and wait, maybe some things will change. from what i've read in the forums, there are many us...

Re: a big list of suggestions

thanks very much for the detailed reply, i'm glad that some of these are already hidden in various corners of MM. i did try the beta but had problems with it crashing a lot so i went back to the latest stable build. i tried Custom Properties Panel, but it did not work at all for me. not sure why. as...

a big list of suggestions

after a week with MM, i have several ideas how i would like to see the app improved. i have not read through the forum, i do not know if any of these have been suggested before. - resizable player in non-skinned mode. i have a 22" widescreen monitor, so having the player stretch across the enti...
