Just make sure that formats are not associated to MM before doing all that.

I wonder whether deleting the library and doing a re-scan would help? Or are the images stored in a separate DB? I am not sure, brief analyze showed original artwork can't be read/served to MM renterer. You can rename MM5.DB to 1MM5.DB and MM will create new DB. then scan folders again. If it prove...

MM do not support Multi User management, but you can use portable installs to manage them separately.

Music and Videos are separated with collections, but you can't lock out one to edit whole library files.

Try to Start MM as Administrator and then setup, my guess is that it does not have permission to create files as MM is not Winamp.

They are selected separately. I personally Leave all unckecked except some playlists I want to sync.

NOTE: Content of Playlists are synced, so that there is no need to select every artist/album/... again.

If you expand Playlist node and then select parent node then all subnodes are auto selected.

In older versions of MM subnodes are auto selected even node was collapsed, but was changed as users complained that it synced non needed tracks and playlists.
