Crossfade ?
I was elated when I discovered that there was a MM8 version because I have a Surface RT that I'd like to use as a music server for my PA system, but my hopes were dashed when I installed it and couldn't find a crossfade function. Why has it been left out of the MM8 and MMA players? Is crossfade that...

Re: Galaxy S3 - Wrongly identifying SD card vs. Phone Memory
For what it's worth, I'm having the same kind of issue with MMW 4.0.7.1511 (Gold) and a Samsung Galaxy Tab II with MMA 1.0.1.0087 installed: MMW lists the SD card as the device memory and the device memory as the SD card when the device is connected via a USB cable. I never synced the Galaxy Tab II ...

Sync playlist without syncing music files?
I have an iPod Touch (3G) and an iPod Nano (6G) which I sync with MM (v. 3.2.4.1304 Gold). Both iPods have the same identical music library on them that's on my PC. When I create a new playlist on MM and send it to one of the iPods, MM seems to insist on transferring all the song files as well, desp...

Re: d_iphone.dll File Question
For what it's worth, I used iTunes to wipe my iPod Touch clean of all music and playlists and then I re-synced all 182 albums and 16 playlists with MM. All my music is already AAC (.m4a) so there was no conversion necessary and everything worked perfectly. The music is all there and the album art sh...

Re: Track Data Question
Found this which probably answers my own question: http://www.mediamonkey.com/sw/webhelp/frame/index.html?abouttrackproperties.htm The same info can be found in the MM Help menu: Help > Contents tab > Reference Information > Track Properties & Tag Formats For some reason I couldn't come up with the ...

Track Data Question
I might be wrong, but I get the impression that MM writes some track data to the actual song file meta tag and other data to a MM Library file. Is this the case and if so, can someome please post a link to an explanation of how the system works and if it's possible to override the defaults? Also, my...

Re: d_iphone.dll File Question
Here's a summary of the chain of events: My MediaMonkey (Gold with AAC/M4A Encoder/Decoder Plug-in) suddenly started giving me the "Audio Library has stopped working" error. Sorry, but I don't know what version it was except it wasn't the most current version. I hadn't done anything to upgrade or ch...

Re: AAC/M4A Encoder/Decoder issues.
I think I answered my own question with some trial and error. I was able to get the same bitrates and file sizes as I was originally getting by selecting Variable Bitrate (VBR) instead of Average Bitrate ABR). But it's interesting to note that when I right-click the resulting output file in MM and s...

d_iphone.dll File Question
Media Monkey 3.2.0 is allegedly compatible with the iPod Touch via the d_iphone.dll file, but I had to delete that file from the plugin directory to clear the "audio library has stopped working" error . I'm probably just missing it, but I can't seem to find a work-around for this problem. Any help w...

Settings:
Average bitrate (ABR)
Mid/Side stereo not checked
Average bitrate: 152kbps. (which is as high as the setting will go)

AAC/M4A Encoder/Decoder issues.
About a year ago I ripped my entire CD library into the .m4a format with an earlier version of MM and AAC/M4A Encoder/Decoder v.1.0.5. I recently did a complete uninstall of the old version and reinstalled MM v.3.2.0.1294 and AAC/M4A Encoder / Decoder v.1.0.6 after MM quit working after an iTunes up...

Re: Can I create Ipod auto-playlists in mediamonkey?
Make your playlist in MM and save it. Then (with your iPod connected), go to the playlist module, right -click the playlist you just saved, and choose Send to in the flyout menu. Your iPod should be in the list and when you click it, the playlist should sync to the iPod. That's how I do it with my i...

Re: .AAC File Tag Problems
Well, I think I figured this out for myself: I selected the AAC file format when I ripped the music with the AAC/M4A Encoder/Decoder Plug-in . Consequently, the output files had an .aac extension and were probably in an AAC container. Media Monkey will play these files but no other programs I tried ...
