Re: [1470] WASAPI outputting Noise
Yes, you MAY have a bit-perfect output with Wasapi exclusive mode using "Push mode", too. Actually Event mode is theoretically better (it has a shorter path in Windows audio), but some DACs do not work well with Event mode. But take in mind that Wasapi exclusive mode is not enough to have ...

Re: Classical Music Tree
You may cuastomize the Summary for your needs, in Option/Playback rules, click on Classical Music and edit the 2 "Art View" lines. For instance, I use: $if(<Composer>, <Composer> - )<Album> $if(<Conductor>,<Conductor>)$If(<Artist>, - <Artist>,)$If(<Date>, - <Date>,) $If(<Publisher>, - <Pub...

OK, with 1467 the sorting/grouping issue seems fixed.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Art + Details view scrolls FAR too quickly
I don't know if it may help, anyway: I cannot reproduce the issue, but for me the defaul 3 lines scrolling is too fast for the upper browser, so I changed to 1 line scrolling using the Logitech software; I think it's better fot the main panel, too.

Failed to Import file
Importing a new album, MM4 failed importing one track, the error message is: "Error scanning file x:\SACD\Santana\Caravanserai\04 - Santana - Just in time To see theSun.flac - error while reading file info" Needless to say :D , if I click on that file in windows explorer, MM play it withou...

Re: [1463] addons are installed twice [#8975]
Ludek, I don't understand either. ;) My guess is: - during first install of MM4 I'm sure I installed as Admin - when installing skins or whatever add-on, again, I'm sure I always installed for all users - BUT during upgrades to some 4.0.x version it's very possible that, instead of dowloading the fi...

Re: [4.0.3.1465/6] Sorting/grouping bug(s)
I do notice that if I sort on album artist the track list is sorted by track no and not on alphabetical title order so not all bad news :) You're right; I didn't notice before, as I don't use the artist album column at all. The problem is that, the way I tag Classical Music, sorting by Album Artist...

Re: [4.0.3.1465/6] Sorting/grouping bug(s)
Additionally, please don't do that ascending/descending sort order lock thing . In my case, for example, I set up the Summary in such a way (see first post) to sort by year. That way I can sort track groups (=albums) by year, seeing an artist's latest albums at the top of the list. If you keep this...

Re: [1463] addons are installed twice [#8975]
Ludek,
I don't know if it helps, but I just checked Tools/Extensions and i have ALL my add-on listed twice. For the record, I always install add-on for all users.
Just a guess: maybe there's a relation with the famous "install as Admin" issue?

Re: [4.0.3.1465] Sorting/grouping bug(s)
Petr, there is some progress for the sorting/grouping issue. i.e.: if I configure the summary to show the Date, too, (sorting by summary) now I have albums with the same name and the same artist but different date not grouped, as requested (thanks). But the tracks inside albums are sorted alphabetic...

Re: Orchestra/Band Tag
Yes, Foobar use album artist the same way as MM. With some Googling I've found more confusion: some programs, for instance dbpoweramp and Jriver, have both Album Artist and Orchestra fields... :o Somedoby knows it these programs use standard or custom tags for Orchestra? OK, the reason I'm asking is...

Re: Release WASAPI Exclusive Mode To Another Application
It is the way Wasapi Exclusive mode - Event Style works.
A workaround is disabling Event Style (Wasapi Advanced setting), this way MM release the audio device when you stop playing. Please note that Pause is not enough.

Well, yes and not.nohitter151 wrote:Well I suppose it answers your question. Yes, MM uses this tag, but it calls it "Album artist".
I mean: I was sure "album Artist" is a quite standard Tag, now it seems it's not.
Also, album artist has a completely different meaning from Orchestra/Band.

Re: Orchestra/Band Tag
Thanks nohitter, but I'm a little confused.
AFAIK, the Orchestra/Band Tag should be TPE2, but in the page you linked TPE2 is Album Artist...
Am I relying on incorrect informations?
