MediaMonkey Server versus MediaMonkey Library

Folks; I've searched for an answer I can understand, but I'm still confused. I'd like to configure MediaMonkey for Windows (MMW) which has my library and all my media files, as a sync server and DLNA server for my Android tablet running MediaMonkey for Android (MMA). I'd like to be able to run MMA a...

Re: Now Playing repeats forever

Well, that was easy. Yes it was enabled. I'll test it on this current playlist. Flying Lowlander, you are soo helpful. Thanks for all your work on the forums.

Now Playing repeats forever

I'm running MM 4.0.7.1511 and my Now Playing list repeats. After it plays the last item, it cycles back to the first item and plays the entire list again and again. I think this happened a long time ago and was fixed in a new release. I tried reinstalling, cleaning out temp files and compacting the ...

Re: Can't scroll in main window of dual-pane views

Thanks for the advice. No amount of fiddling with the mouse settings has solved my problem, but I found another symptom pointing to MediaMonkey: I can scroll just fine in the Now Playing pane, but no others.

Can't scroll in main window of dual-pane views

Folks; Wondering if anyone has seen this problem: I can't scroll my Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 v2.0 with latest drivers in the main window of the dual-pane view. I can scroll the tree pane. If I move the mouse over the main window that, for example, displays the album lists, I sometimes get...

Re: Can Now Playing node view be different than Library nodes?

Thank you so much for your time and responses. I'll look for that feature when that release comes out.

Can Now Playing node view be different than Library nodes?

Folks; I seem to remember a time when I could view the Now Playing tree-node in detail view, while seeing the Library nodes were in "Album Art" view. There is a Now Playing window that shows in detail mode all the time, but that's not what I want. Any way to make MM show the Now Playing tree-node in...

Re: FLAC track lengths too long; MM won't sync

That's too simple to work in MediaMonkey, but it does. Thanks for the quick suggestion.

FLAC track lengths too long; MM won't sync

Folks; I have a bunch of tracks that were ripped to FLAC with "Easy CD-DA Extractor (http://www.poikosoft.com)". They play well in MM but each one is indicated as 1:14:35 in length. Not so much a problem, except MM believes these numbers and can't sync these tracks with an external device because of...

Re: Unable to locate missing tracks that are there

That did the trick. And I'm sure that it was caused by the drive "moving" from D: to G: before I put it back to D: again. Too bad I ran MM while the drive was G:

Unable to locate missing tracks that are there

Folks; My problem is a bit different than others related to missing tracks that refuse to be found. (At least I think so, therefore a new topic.) I had some trouble with my USER data partition that contains my music collection. I recovered all my tracks in my MediaMonkey library, right where they be...

Odd. I've ripped a CD and didn't have any such trouble. MM sees my DVD drive fine and I'm not running it elevated. Windows Vista Home Premium (x86) I don't know whether this trick is necessary or useful for Vista, but it seems to work for Windows XP SP2+ with a limited user account. Vista has fixed...

Re: re: Play Audio CD's without Administrator rights

Any pointers would be appreciated. I've had success with a simple registry hack Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 ; allow limited users to rip/burn CDs [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] "AllocateCDRoms"="1" You can use regedit.exe or save the code to a .r...

Filters are absolutely fantastic! I want to thank everyone who responded. I have to say my problem with understanding views was more with the user interface to setting views than with the feature itself. As SimonB requested, the view setting features certainly need to be addressed and perhaps then ...

Does anyone have interesting Filters or Views?

Folks;

I like the "Choose tree nodes", but I haven't figured out a useful way to use filters and views.

Can anyone give any clarification by way of examples?
