Re: sorting ONLY by album artist [#12555]

This is not just one album by the way, just one example. Looking at the folder where the wrong duplicate with missing files are supposed to be, the modified date is the date of the last wi-fi sync https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/39561993/mm/Screenshot_20161121-211218.png unlike the correct locat...

Re: sorting ONLY by album artist

I'm having this same problem with an Xperia z5c. I'm syncing with MMW (both USB and wifi). MMA is calling the Album artist what is actually the artist for either the first or last track of an album. But the albums are also correctly listing under the album artist (e.g. Various Artists) as far as I c...

Re: Sync problems including root directory changed

I uninstalled and reinstalled MMA and that fixed the root issue, although I've only done USB syncs so far, so don't know if the problem will come back. However, I now have a somewhat screwed up database. There are two copies of many albums, one with tracks, one empty, and a manual rescan doesn't rem...

Sync problems including root directory changed

I had MMA installed and set up a USB sync to my phone's SD card which went to \music as expected. Having added four new albums and changed the genre in about 6 albums (all in MMW) I did a wifi sync which brought across the new albums but didn't seem to update the genre metadata (at least not in the ...

Re: "Level Track Volume" not working properly

There's a bug report for it here http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/index.php?loginresult=1&group=default&loginresult=-5&group=default&_m=tickets&_a=viewticket&ticketid=20617 But no acknowledgement of the problem and no response in the past 3 months, or even a message to say they would look at it. O...

Re: Don't remove unavailable items if root folder is unavail

Just to say the issue is being tracked (and has been for a very long time!) in Mantis:

Re: Don't remove unavailable items if root folder is unavail

Okay, for an experiment I put some files on an external drive. When I unplug the external drive, the files don't disappear from the library, so you were right. However, for the network location they disappear, at least with UNC. So it sounds like it is a bug, because the expected behaviour is that i...

Re: Don't remove unavailable items if root folder is unavail

I submitted ticket YAW-575064. Apparently, it is expected behaviour. So, I repeat my wish that if the root folder or network location or drive - whichever you'd prefer - is unavailable, MM prompts the user to ask if all items should be removed. Personally, I don't see that behaviour as the point of ...

Re: Don't remove unavailable items if root folder is unavail

Well I am talking about a network location - network connection down, folder temporarily unavailable. I'm suggesting the important thing is not the drive but the root folder. I guess my question is why not? Why not at least ask? I'd have thought it would be rare that it would be triggered and rare u...

Re: Don't remove unavailable items if root folder is unavail

I'm not sure if you're understanding? If I'm monitoring the "My Music" folder and "My Music" is unavailable, I suggest items shouldn't be removed without prompting the user. Obviously if anything within what I've asked to be monitored is missing (a whole genre's folder or artist's folder for example...

Don't remove unavailable items if UNC is unavailable [#8863]

Long story, short suggestion: If the root folder that's being monitored is unavailable, MediaMonkey probably shouldn't prune the contents of that folder and its subfolders from the library even when 'remove unavailable items' is ticked - or should at least ask the user. Obviously, if subfolders (onl...
