Re: iOS 8.3 [#12701]

Re: iOS 8.3 [#12701]
While 1753 hasn't come out from MM yet, apple did release iOS 8.4.1, and if you read the notes, it has a lot of changes to the music app and sync code. I tried this new iOS with two recent DLLs provided to me by Ludek, and my iPhone 4S has flawlessly synced (using auto sync) all 3 times. No errors, ...

Re: iOS 8.3 [#12701]
Just gave it a shot...only 50 songs show up on phone out of a playlist of 100 songs...not sure. But at least it didn't crash. I uploaded the log to our ticket.

Re: iOS 8.3 [#12701]
I'll give the DLL a try later tonight Ludek. After trying to solve this with you for over 3 months, it will be great to get it done!

Re: iOS 8.3 [#12701]
Ludek, I sent you the log and my DB file as well.
I've also had inconsistency in syncing too.

That would be awesome Ludek! You think this might fix the whole mess?

Re: iOS 8.3 [#12701]
I've been fighting this for a while too, trying to get it solved with MM support. No luck yet. We keep trying and I hope a fix is found.

Re: Portable Device Sync assigned drive letters
I'm not sure if this is related, but if you are curious why you have drive letters, I'm curious, is it a SanDisk usb stick? There was a time when SanDisk released a bunch of USB memory sticks with the removable disk bit set to no or something, and Windows recognized them as hard disks, vs removable....

Re: iOS 8.3 [#12701]
This is the issue I've been trying to help MM solve for a month or so now...incomplete sync....I'm running a 4S though, so we thought it was only happening on those devices.

Re: Ability to force relative paths for music with ASX playl
The issue was less about Windows, and more about how SanDisk set a bit regarding the type of drive it was. They have since stopped doing this, and all sticks are now removeable, but this is what caused the issue. I first sync'd with one of those drives, and then when I switched to another drive (tha...

Re: iOS 8.3 [#12701]
So your ipod gen 5 is having issues too? That's good to know actually, as Ludek and I thought it was related to 4S devices only perhaps. He and I have been trying to get this solved, but it's been difficult. Still not there yet. I haven't given up testing, and I know he hasn't given up trying to sol...

Re: iOS 8.3 [#12701]
What I'm finding so far, is a clean iPhone 4S, just restored, no data or apps, syncs FAST and correctly. Once I add back in data, apps, etc, it slows down and syncs of a lot of songs start to fail. I'm still working on it with MM support.

Re: iOS 8.3 [#12701]
Not sure about that, sorry. I know I had the issue, but once I installed iTunes and windows installed the phone drivers completed, MM saw the devices fine. But in regards to sync issues, to test my theory that something broke again, I uninstalled and reinstalled 4.1.7.1741 with the two DLLs I tested...

Re: iOS 8.3 [#12701]
Just tried the latest build. A sync with 30 songs was fine. But like earlier, a larger sync with 550 songs crashed. Different crash than before, but another crash, and then MM just stopped processing (got stuck). I'm going to open another support ticket and submit the debug log. Ludek, with 4.1.7.17...

Re: iOS 8.3 [#12701]
I just tried 1744 and it crashed on me about 20% through. I wasn't capturing a debug log. I will do it again and see what happens.
Ludek, something isn't right between 1742 with the updates DLLs and this version now.
