Installation Source File is Corrupt

I'm trying to install MM3 on my old XP laptop, and I keep getting a "An error occurred while trying to read the source file. The source file is corrupted." error. It happens while the Plug-ins are being installed, in particular the MilkDrop plug in, although a few others seem not to work. ...

Nyn: Thank you for your response! This is how I previously was trying to put playlists on my Zen. 1) Right click playlist and select "export to *.m3u" 2) Copy and paste to Zen's Playlist and/or My Playlists folders (I wasn't sure which one to use) using Windows Explorer The Zen is unable t...

Playlists (*.pla) to Creative Zen

I have a new Creative Zen, and I'm trying to get playlists onto it. I need to export the playlists to *.pla format. I've already tried the script here (http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10678), but it doesn't appear to work in MM3, I get a syntax error. The author of that script doesn...

MN using playlist as filter

Hi there,

I'm looking to make a Magic Node using a playlist as a filter. I'm using:

Full Albums|icon:bottom level|filter:playlist='CompleteAlbums'\<artist>

But nothing is showing up in the node!

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you!

not on their own as most of those errors came up as no default info is found and as soon as you clicked OK default is created so on next start is found :)
Ah hah, makes sense. Thanks for filling in the details.

Wow. I actually got this to work (after several error messages, which seemed to resolve themselves on their own?). Pretty neat. I've got about 1500 artists and 7500 tracks in my library, so I'm looking forward to hearing tracks I haven't heard in a while. Thanks.

Or, you could scan for duplicates and then delete those referring to your external disk (If you want to keep the reference to tracks not copied to your laptop - external HDs tend to be much bigger than the laptop-HDs...) That's what I ended up doing... actually sorting by "path," then jus...

Thanks for the response, jc836. SYou need to COPY the files from one drive to the other. That's what I meant. Ok, how do I get MM to not include the tracks that are still on the hard drive? Right now, I've got duplicates in the library--one on the laptop, one on the external HD. This must be ...

Moving music files

Hi everyone, Originally, I kept my music on an external HD. I just got a laptop, and I would like to move my music to its hard drive, so I can take it with me when I travel, etc. I will keep the music on the external HD as a backup, but I want MM's database to point to the files on my laptop's hard ...

I did a test, and it doesn't appear to be the case... MM did not catch
Apology Song - The Decemberists
and
Apology Song - Decemberists

So, does the "Duplicate Titles" function looks for songs with the same artist AND same song name? Hmm... :-?

Bex, As always, thank you for your help. You are always ready to lend assistance, and I greatly appreciate it. Originally I didn't understand the part about the addition to the scripts.ini file, so the installer was helpful and time-saving. Triximoto, I visited your website, and I'm so impressed wit...

Question about finding duplicates

Let's say I have the following duplicate files in my library: Rue the Day - Walkmen Rue the Day - The Walkmen One artist has "the," the other does not. Will this show up as duplicate files? In other words, does MM consider "the" as part of the name of a band (or a song, I guess) ...

This script seems like a great idea... how do I run it? I've saved it to the Scripts\Auto folder as a *.vbs file. Closed and restarted MM. Now what?

(Sorry, I'm sure this is obvious, but hopefully if it's obvious someone won't mind pointing it out to me!)
