I've updated the current Version of "Select Library" to work with MM2 and MM3. http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=34699#34699 Try it and let me know if it works for you! Thanks, onkel_enno, it seems to work fine for me in MM3. I used to use this in MM2 and now with MM3 functionality I...

Thanks for the suggestion, but in the end I bit the bullet and got an iPod Nano 8GB. At least with this I can listen to podcasts and Audible audiobooks, as well as music, on my train journeys to/from work, and it fits easily in my shirt pocket. Of course, two weeks after I bought it Apple brought ou...

If you still have plenty of room on your hard disk you could just create another partition for you audio library, then you could organize it by E:\Music, E:\Audiobooks, E:\Podcasts, etc. This also depends on how confident you feel using partition manager software. If you do go down this route make s...

This also happened to me. Read all of this message before trying anything, and anything you try is at your own risk. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Try running CHKDSK. I picked this up somewhere: ---------------------------- Disk Error Checking can be accomplished from the CHKDSK Command - Line utility. To e...

Alternative portable player to play Audible?
I currently have an Archos GMini400 with a 20GB drive, which is fine for listening to music, podcasts, or audiobooks on my daily commute to work. The problem with this is that it doesn't natively play Audible .aa files, so I have to convert my Audible downloads to MP3 with dbPoweramp , then tag them...

I have a similar, possibly related, problem in MM3 A3. If I set up an autoplaylist to filter for Genre=Podcast this works as expected. If I then add Played#=0, then only one podcast shows even though none of them have been played. If I then open the Properties for one of the "hidden" podcasts and im...

MM3 A3 - "2907 Fixed regression" - not quite!
>2907 Fixed regression: 'Advanced' option not available on auto-sync list"
Advanced" checkbox does not move relative to the Device Profile window when re-sizing the window, and can finish up half way up the right hand side of the Auto-Sychronization List space.

MM3 synching
Not a bug, but lost functionality. In MM2.x it is possible to synch different playlists (e.g. music, audiobooks, podcasts) to different paths on the device and with different synch patterns. This does not appear to be possible in MM3. Will this reappear in a later alpha/beta build? Or am I missing s...

Seasick Steve - one for blues fans
I recently heard, and soon after bought, Dog House Music by Seasick Steve. Although this guy is American he seems to be more popular in Europe than the US. He's just an old ex-hobo who records stuff in his kitchen, but maybe because of this he has the feel of a modern Robert Johnson (for me anyway),...

You got me there! Although I listened to all that stuff in the 70s and knew I was listening to Disco when I heard it (although it wasn't actually a "genre" at the time), I've never been able to define it. Maybe it's the tempo "Initially, most disco songs catered to a nightclub/dancing audience only,...
