Re: Variable playback speed (ex. podcasts and audiobooks)

I'll add my vote to this request. I've tried the various plugins suggested before (including "Take It Easy"), and either they don't work at all, or the sound quality of the faster playback is so poor that it's useless. Here's my post from last summer about these plugins: http://www.mediamo...

Re: Varible speed playback

I'm using MM v3.25.1306 on a Windows XP Pro system, and I just tried all 8 of the plugins listed (Chronotron, PaceMaker, AUdioMaker, Fourier Pitch Tempo Control, AtomixBPM, Slow Me Down, Nullsoft DSP Effects & NT Pitch), I also tried "Take It Easy" recommended on another thread. None o...

Re: Can I get keyboard to behave the way it used to?

The HID thing is something that I have experienced as well with a microsoft wireless mouse/keyboard, haven't figured out how to prevent it but if you click add hotkey fast enough after making the new hotkey, it works. Not sure what you meant by "click add hotkey", but I tried quickly typi...

Can I get keyboard to behave the way it used to?[#6616]

I finally just upgraded from v2.55.996 to v3.2.2.1300 (yes I know, where have I been?). And one of the things that I can't seem to get to work right is allowing my keyboard to control playback like it did in v2.55. Specifically, with the NumLock off the keys on my numeric behaved like this: Actual M...

Reid, This doesn't help your problem, but to counter rovingcowboy's statement - there are legit reasons some discs have data tracks. I have some audiobooks with "Enhanced CDs" (their labeling, not mine). These discs have data tracks that contain PDF files of charts, illustrations, etc. tha...

I don't know if you can specify the exclusion of certain folders (maybe somebody else knows how), but I know you can give MM a list of folders to include (and therefore you can leave your F:\WORK\ folder off that list). To set up the inclusion list, use the following menu tree: Tools | Options | Lib...

Use this menu tree: Tools | Options | Library | Virtual CD & Preview Then look to the 2nd field (it's named "Directory") - that's where the default path is stored (and can be changed). Is that what you're looking for? NOTE: I don't know if MM will recreate the needed files in the new l...

If I understand you correctly, you want to list all the songs from an LP, some which you can actually play on your computer (digitized) along with those tracks that are currently just "fillers" (not yet digitized)? If the above is correct, why not create some 'pseudo-tracks' - MP3 files of...

How Can I REMOVE Freedb Info from Audiobook Tracks?

When I inserted an Audiobook CD into a drive prior to ripping, I noticed the track titles had info retrieved directly from the CD. Specifically, each title contained the first few words of text from the section of the book being read. Very nice feature, especially when using the audiobook in combina...

Audiobook-Related Wish(es)

Here's my first wish (I'm sure I'll add more, please add your own): Allow "Auto-Tag from Amazon" to grab cover art for audiobooks . I often use Amazon's ASIN for grabbing cover art for my music CDs, so it seems logcal to add the ability to use an ISBN code (ISBN-10, ISBN-13 or both) to gra...

You might want to try out MP3 to iPod Audio Book Converter located at http://www.freeipodsoftware.com/ I haven't tried it myself (I don't own an iPod), but happened to find it on SnapFiles.com while looking for tools to help me organize my audiobook files. If you try it, please post here what you th...

you can try buffer tricks in monkey and maybe get them to work for you Until I'm brave enough to try mm3 (and its "gapless play" feature), can you describe these "buffer tricks" for v2 in more depth? I have MANY ripped discs where the gap is VERY noticeable (but not on the origi...
