Thank you both for your tips; using Auto-Tag does save a lot of trouble.

Disabling "Infer file properties" loads an empty Title
In my experience, inferred file properties (for non-tagged files) are always wrong. Some inappropriate data is inferred as Artist, leaving the Title incomplete. I always have to correct this manually. I would like to disable "Infer file prooperties", but then the result is worse: no inform...

Re: Inferring track properties from filename
12 years later, how I wish those options existed. I keep having to cut-paste from Album to Title.

Re: Near end of track, rew/fwd always skips to next track
Thank you for your reply. I don't have crossfade enabled, but I do "remove silence", so I disable it... but the bug manifests exactly the same way. The issue is unrelated to track length or end silence length. Attempting to "navigate" a track during its last 10 seconds invariably...

Re: Shuffle should not invalidate Play Next
There's a plugin called Queue List which compensates for the omission: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=49575 Thank you. Unfortunately, that plugin seems buggy on my machine. You can Randomize the Now Playing instead of using Shuffle Play. Then play order is known and Play N...

Shuffle should not invalidate Play Next
I want to do these two things with the least hassle possible: 1. Start playback of a playlist in random order, either directly or starting from a song in the playlist. 2. During said playback, take a song from my library and have it play next. Right now, "Play Next" and "Play Last&quo...
