Hello Forum Folks,
I have several compilations which do not have correct Artists. Instead, they have the artist - title in the Title field.
Is there any way to strip the artist from the Title field and rewrite it in the correct Artist field in bulk?
Thanks!

Re: Retag "Disc #" to [Disc #] - advance search
Lowlander,
I am using the advanced search. That's what I'm asking help on.
Album contains Disc 1
Album does not contain [Disc 1]
gives me:
Disc 1
Disc 1 of 2
Disc 10
How can I get just Disc 1? I tried quotes, dashes, etc..... but do not have the correct syntax

Re: Retag "Disc #" to [Disc #] - advance search
It's not though. Let's say that the tags WERE up to date (and they are not)... If the album Title was Greatest Hits - Disc 1, which is how it could very well be currently....and the disc # tag was "1", then using Organize (as I understand it) would give me "Greatest Hits - Disc 1 [Disc 1]", which ...

Re: Retag "Disc #" to [Disc #] - advance search
OK, let me clarify: My path example is for demarcation purposes, not rearranging the folder structure. (Yet). I want the album to say Greatest Hits [Disc 1], not Greatest Hits (Disc 1), not Greatest Hits (Disc 1 of 2), etc. So I want to do an extended search to find the "wrong" album so I can select ...

Re: Retag "Disc #" to [Disc #] - advance search
Hmmm... good question!
I hadn't thought of the folder names quite yet. I would want to tag the items first and then do an Organize Files operation, I would guess.
I've been doing a bunch of them manually so far..... exhausting... Now I have to revisit this.
I'm open to suggestions!!

Retag "Disc #" to [Disc #] - advance search
Hello all. I am trying to do an advanced search in MM 2024 to standardize my disc titles. I like my discs to appear under the artist. So, Elvis' 50's masters would be: D:\Music\Elvis Presley\50's Masters [Disc 1]\01 Heartbreak Hotel.mp3 D:\Music\Elvis Presley\50's Masters [Disc 2]\01 Always On My ...

OK, thanks for getting back to me. I will see if I can get it to happen again. Seems ok for now.

Re: A new Denon playing issue
Lowlander,
It doesn't happen every song. How do I capture logs when I cannot reproduce the issue consistently?

Re: [REQ] Open File Location Context Menu Option
I couldn't see the difference between the MM choices! Thanks. I use Explorer all the time (especially when I have duplicates)!

A new Denon playing issue
Hello Gurus, Using DLNA over wired connection to my Denon and for some strange reason, tMM stops after one or two songs in my current playlist. If I come back and double click on the next song, it plays fine, but then stops again at the end of the song. I am running MM2024 build 20241.1.0.3113 ...

Gapless YES, DLNA to Denon, NO.
Hello Gurus, Been trying to figure out why my MM2024 does not play to my Denon, when it used to. After playing around for a couple of hours, I found that Gapless is turned on. With this setting off, my music plays fine to my Denon. I notice in my HEOS app on my phone that it says "Unsupported Format ...

Re: Speeding up mass tag edits
No, MediaMonkey updates to reflect the changes you've made. Using the Location node may be of help (if Auto-Organize is being used) as the files won't disappear as they're still in the same location when editing tags. Lowlander, can you address the individual questions please? Your expertise is ...

Re: Speeding up mass tag edits
My first idea would be as follows: Sort by album name, Highlight all the tracks in the album, right-click, properties, enter the album artist there, and OK. This should edit the data for all of the tracks selected. You can actually also do this from within the "Ungrouped multi-artist albums" view ...

Re: Speeding up mass tag edits
5) I found the Multiple Artist Albums - Files to Edit, however, I cannot create a view which only lists the songs. It's grouping them with artwork or its in the thumbnail view. Anyway just to get the song title, artist, album here?
