I've found a few tracks in the DB, that were causing me tagging grief. Eventually realised they pointed to the same file, so when I 'fixed' it for one entry, it highlighted a non-synced change for the other. Hopefully all sorted but I'd love to run a consistency check if possible.

The 7000 are all over... no way to tell them apart except the 'inconsistent artwork' folder. Heres a s/shot of the MP3Tag app and that folder.. one with jpeg and one with jpg. Out of interest.. where does MM pick up that type definition from ? Is it an MP3 attribute ?
I can see it set in properties but can't ever remember setting that for those folders/files.

Ah thats it..... I'd forgotten I'd made a custom collection a long time ago, and it looks like "Classical Music" is defined as a separate type. I'll have to figure out how that works again..

I hid Entire Library as well just to make it more interesting back then...
