Playlist plays alternate tracks

Dear Monkeys,

When assembling and playing a playlist MM is not playing every track but every other one. I see a track finish the next track selected but imediately moves to the next one.

Has anyone else experienced this.... might it be some addin interfering?

Thank you........................liz

Re: Renaming tags - is there a flexible utility?

Dear Karl,

Thank you for reminding me of this good utility, I have it already but haven't used in for ages so had forgotten it as a possibility.
In spite of this a solution I would suggest that an add-on or even an enhancements to MM would be a good idea if anyone want to take up the challenge.

Renaming tags - is there a flexible utility?

Dear Monkeys, I want to rename the title of a number of tracks in a similar way, for example I want to take the existing title and add a prefix - the same prefix for all tracks. Something like the Auto-Organise function for filename, but applied to tags would do it. Is there something that would do ...

Online Jukebox or Radio Station

Dear Monkeys,

Has anyone come across a plugin they would recommend to allow a radio station to be created or possibly a jukebox. Is this possible with MM? and could there be a plugin to Wordpress??

thanks.................... liz

Multi-user Environment

Dear Monkeys, I know it's possible to do this but does anyone have any comments or guidance about successfully using Media Monkey in a multi-user environment? I have got the knowledgebase article entitled MediaMonkey in a Shared / Networked Environment . Just to be clear the configuration required i...

Can I view queued jobs? [#6301]

Dear Monkeys,

If I have a number of jobs queued - such as analysing and writing tags. Is there any way I can see what is in the queue and progress?

thank you.................. liz

Re: Updating only changed files' tags

Can you explain why you advise this: make sure you add the BPM while MM is open Which I take to mean that I should analyse tracks in Trakor while MM is open? Why or what difference does this make? I can't see any, I have tried upating in Traktor with & without MM open and everything works in both ca...

Re: Synchronise tage - exactly what does it do?

Thank you. I think originally my sister had switched off the update tags preference and I didn't, at that time, know about it. Now we have it on and all is good. Last question: what happens if a lot of changes have been made and not all applied on exiting the application does MM exit anyway, then wh...

Re: Synchronise tags - exactly what does it do?

I thought I had this sussed but.... 1. On Scan MM will read the tags in the audio file and populate the database 2. If I change the tags in MM it updates the database BUT I thought it didn't write to the audio file tags so I believed that I had to use Synchronise However I have now found, using a ta...

Re: Updating only changed files' tags

If I use file monitor I am not sure but I think it reads every file, in a library of 15,000 plus this would take a long while so I think using scan only for those that hae changed would be better, and then I can do with occassional scans to make sure nothing has been missed. So the method I use now ...

Re: Synchronising - updating files with multi-value tags

yes, I know this and MP3tag does use %band% in the column it labels "Album Artist".

y problem remains and I have absolutely no idea how to fix it i.e. I am updating Album Artist and synchronise tags does not appear to be updating the field

Re: Synchronising - updating files with multi-value tags

Ok, I believe you except I can't make it happen! Just in case I'm doing something stupid this is what I'm doing: - for a selected track change the Album Artist (in MM) - with that track select do Synchronise tags (Tools, Advanced Tag Management) - open MP3tag utilty and inspect the tags to check Alb...

Re: Synchronising - updating files with multi-value tags

Dear Monkeys, What I have discovered is that Total Commander add-on for audio tags only displays the first of a multiple value list. I used the MP3tag utility to prove this, funnily enough it's written by the same author as the TC add-on, so it's odd that it doesn't show multiple values. In the proc...
