Re: Newbie wondering if mediamonkey can fill his needs.

MM will certainly help but I reckon the first thing you have to do is put all the music in one place, manually. Use windows explorer to find them all and drag & drop into one place such as your music folder in libraries. It's like packing your car for a camping trip. Everything you plan to take has ...

Q2: How to remove a folder from Monitored Folders list

My 150GB music library is all in one location on my laptop HDD, (and backed up to 2 other places). Inside MUSIC are the artist folders and then album folders. The folder that it is all in is called "MUSIC" and is in my monitored folders and the scan continuously and scan at startup are both ticked. ...

Q1: sync to an SD card for transfer to tablet

I am familiar with the autosync function and use it to sync a selection of my library to my 16GB Sony Walkman, (my library is 150GB, 17500 songs all in MP3 at 320 bitrate, on my laptop HDD also backed up to 2 other computers using Goodsync). In my autosync for the Sony Walkman I have a rule to conve...

Re: MediaMonkey just will not open

Update: I uninstalled itunes and Limewire then rebooted, (wondering if these were creating some issue). Upon opening IE I got a fake scan by "AntiSpyware Pro" presumably showing infections on my pooter. So I did a bit of research and discovered that AntiSpyware Pro is in fact itself spyware which se...

Re: MediaMonkey just will not open

I ran a full system virus scan today. It found a trojan horse and a tracking cookie. The trojan was located in my downloads folder in a program crack that I downloaded weeks ago. 'Tis now deleted. I downloaded and installed the mediamonkey debug version, but again absolutely nothing happens when I t...

Re: MediaMonkey just will not open

Thanks for your reply. I tried that but it didn't work. Quicktime opens as normal also. I ran a full system virus scan last night when I went to bed but we had a blackout during the night so I have no idea how far that got. Will do so again today.

Re: MM not responding

Bugger. It's not responding this morning when I try to rip an audio cd, specifically when I clicked on the destination directory folder to change it. I also tried to add an image for a new album and it hung there too. What's going on? My system; Core 2 duo 3Ghz 4GB memory Creative sounblaster Audigy...

Re: MM not responding

That seems to have worked. I've done a clean install and it has monitored my files, (109GB worth at this stage). I've created a report and adjusted the equalizer with no problems so far.

Thank you.

Re: MM not responding

G'day, thanks for responding. I have no add-ons or plugins to my knowledge. Gonna try this clean install thing and see how I go.
