Now Playing/Startup question/request

I swear this question has been addressed in the forums but I cannot seem to find it anywhere. MediaMonkey takes a while to start when you have a number of items in the Now Playing queue. As we all know, there are a few scripts to help work around this problem (clear on exit, save to playlist, etc). ...

Re: Remove the "The"

MediaMonkey already ignores the "The" in the sort. If you want to remove the "The" from the artist name, try using the RegEx Find and Replace script (http://goo.gl/oGcjY). You could also probably make the change using SQL Viewer if you're familiar with SQL (http://goo.gl/SKmgr).

Re: Sorry . . . I'm a new user!

Sorry if I misunderstand your question. You want to see all tracks in your library ordered by album and then track? If so, just click the "Music" node in the tree (this will display all music in your library). Then click the track number to sort by track and then album name. Your end result should b...

Re: 1342: NP has Strange Track Info

I just had the same thing happen to me. There were two tracks in my "Now Playling" list that had special characters in them. I closed/opened MeidaMonkey and the tracks with special characters were listed inorrectly (same as the screenshots). The tracks have special characters in both the tags and fi...

Re: Global hotkeys and Windows 7 issue

No, but I will if I experience the issue again. Right now, I'm primarily using MM4. I've noticed similar things happening (relaunch not hotkey issue) but MM4 AND MM3 relaunch when I only had MM4 running.

Re: 1342: Auto-Tag from Amazon not finding results

Nope. I've tried it a dozen times and I can't get the same results I get in MM3. The ASIN codes I use are for the CD's.

Can any of the developers chime in to let us know if there were changes in this functionality? Perhaps something changed in Amazon's search?

Agreed. I accidentally move them quite a bit.

Re: 1342: Auto-Tag from Amazon not finding results

I never had that problem with MM3. The manual search should override any values that it's getting from the tag. As I said, if I enter the Amazon product code, MM3 would always return the correct result (but not in MM4). I understand that matching the tracks up requires more information but, in the p...

Re: Looking for good 80's compilations :)

I have tons of 80's stuff. My favorite sets:
* Living In Oblivion (5 volumes)
* Just Can't Get Enough: New Wave Hits of the 80's (15 Volumes + Halloween)

Also look at the soundtracks for "Gross Point Blank" and "The Wedding Singer". There are two volumes for each movie.

Re: 1342: Auto-Tag from Amazon not finding results

I'm still getting inconsistent results. I was tagging tracks I recently added from within the Location node (folder where the files were added). Unless the tracks are tagged correctly, I get no results.

Re: 1342: File Monitoring issues

Issue #1 doesn't seem to be happening anymore. I must have had it configured wrong. Issue #2 is still happening. Here are the steps I followed to reproduce it: 1) In MediaMonkey, select the node where you expect the tracks to be added. I tried both the specific artist node (under Artist & Album Arti...

1342: File Monitoring issues [#7325]

I have noticed a couple of issues with file monitoring: 1) When specifying a monitored folder, it doesn't seem to include subfolders. During my testing, I had to specify the exact folder where new files were being placed. 2) The current view doesn't refresh automatically when new tracks are added. F...

Re: 1342: Auto-Tag from Amazon not finding results

Ok, this is weird... I had to set the artist, track and album names accurately before the search would work. In MM3, it didn't matter how the tracks were tagged. It looks to me like MM is still looking at the tracks even if I modify the search.
