Re: Collection based on location?

Yes, just use the criteria Path = C:\Users\username\Downloads\Soundtracks\ to create a Soundtracks Collection or Path is not C:\Users\username\Downloads\Soundtracks\ to exclude soundtracks from a Collection. This is the way I have setup my Movies Collection. Thanks Lowlander, the perfect solution t...

Re: MMW waking up NAS (which I don't want it to do)

Hi Peke. Thanks for responding. I have disabled almost all services on the NAS. I just have SAMBA activated as it is the only means by which I access files on the NAS. The problem seems to have resolved itself. Just prior to writing the original post the NAS would wake on each occasion I opened MMW....

Re: MMW waking up NAS (which I don't want it to do)

Hi Lowlander. As you'd expect, as soon as I installed the debug version of MMW, opening the program woke up the NAS once, and hasn't done it since! So the problem appears resolved, although I have no idea how. I did happen to have dbugview running on the first occasion and caught the following: http...

Re: MMW waking up NAS (which I don't want it to do)

Thanks Lowlander, but no luck. There were no files from the NAS in 'Now Playing', but, in any case, I deleted everything in the list. NAS still starts up.

MMW waking up NAS (which I don't want it to do)

Hi all.

I have all my music on my computer not on a NAS. However, every time I open MMW it wakes my NAS. I don't like my NAS being woken unnecessarily. Is there a way to stop MMW doing this?

Thanks.

Cannot select folders for scanning ASUS Transformer T201

Hi all. Long time user of MMW but only just noticed MMA. Downloaded the latest version (1.0.4.0162) and installed on my ASUS Transformer T201 running Android 4.1.1. I have my music in a number of locations: sdcard0/music; sdcard0/My Music; and MicroSD sdcard1/Music. On opening MMA scans for music an...

List songs not in a playlist?

Hi all. I synch to various devices by playlists. Dduring my various ripping frenzies I have neglected to put many songs into a playlist. With a largeish number of songs - about 37,000 - it is difficult to check manually. Is there any way of producing a list of songs that don't appear in any playlist...

MM_Codec_Pack will not install

Hi all, Having a bit of a problem installing the MM_Codec_Pack. I recently pgraded from MM 3.2.4.1304 to MM 4.0 and now 4.1. I had the MM AAC Plug-in 1.0.4 installed when I upgraded from MediaMonkey 3. I uninstalled the AAC plug-in prior to running the install of MM_Codec_Pack_2.0.0.14.exe, but from...

Re: Extract Artist from Title?

Absolute magic! Thanks nohitter151. Worked on a small sample. There are some quirky things going on with the album name when I select the whole batch (ie. deleting the disc number which is there for multiple disc albums) but should be fixable when I am wide awake in the morning. Thanks very much.

Extract Artist from Title?

Hi all, I am very much a newbie when it comes to scripts etc. I have a stack of Ministry of Sound music files in MM - an example is the following file path: C:\music\Ministry of Sound\The Chillout Session (Disc 1)\15 - Bonobo - Kota.m4a MM has the title of this file as: Bonobo / Kota And both the Ar...

Re: Synching playlists with Samsung Omnia II

OK, looks like a file name/path length problem. Trimmed a couple of long song file names in one play list and had a successful synch of a playlist that had been problematic up to now. Previous longest file length in the play list was: C:\music\Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble\The Essential Stevie...

Re: Synching playlists with Samsung Omnia II

Hi all. MM Support had a look at this for me but are unable to assist as it appears to be a driver or the device which has a problem. WMDM throws back the following error during synchronisation: STRSAFE_E_INSUFFICIENT_BUFFER (0x8007007A) MM Support suggest synching smaller playlists or maybe check o...
