Re: <path> Mask, How to elliminate Filename Folder creation?

Thanks for the explanation Nohitter. <Path> This recreates the same path and filename as the original source file(s), without the drive letter. Yep, I read that on the wiki page. I guess, the part that is kind of missing in that description, is that the filename, additionally creates a sub folder to...

I need to keep the original .WAV files. Not all programs support FLAC playback.

Found it....looks like I should be using the <folder> mask instead of <path>. Doesn't make much sense to me as to why the <path> mask creates an additional sub folder.

<path> Mask, How to elliminate Filename Folder creation?

I'm converting a bunch of .WAV files to FLAC and having them copied to a new location and I want the folder structure to remain the same as the original .WAV files. Here's the Mask that I'm using: \SoundFXs FLAC\<Path>\<Track#:3> <Album> - <Filename> The problem is that each file gets put into a sep...

Re: Multi Selection Edit "Series" info?

Thanks for the reply nohitter. I had recently found another use working with Sound FX libraries and hoped to use it for music purposes. Maybe I'll start using those provided Custom fields instead. Here's an example: http://www.sound-ideas.com/sfxmenu-6000.html Or as a brief explanation of what I usu...

Multi Selection Edit "Series" info?

Is there anyway to select multiple songs and edit the "Series" Metadata? Usually, I just select multiple files, right click and select "Properties" and can edit multiple file's Metadata that way if they're the same info. The problem is, that nothing shows up under the "Series" tags under properties....

Re: Auto-Tag from .TAB, .XML or .TXT file Script?

$Trim(<Field>) is the MM Mask. Trim can also be used in VBScript to trim leading and trailing spaces: http://www.w3schools.com/vbscript/func_trim.asp Thanks for the help again Lowlander. Originally, I looked at the Trim function and that seemed to indicate it would trim off space at the start or en...

Re: Frustrating: MM keeps reverting TITLE Metadata

You seem to be in the My Computer node which doesn't use the Library, I suggest you use the Location node in a Collection (like Music or Entire Library). This might be the fix for the problem: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=9187 You were right!!! By accident, I was working in the My ...

Re: Instruction manual available for a new user?

I am new to MM and not a computer wizard, so it is taking me some time to figure out how to use the program. For example, today when I ripped a CD that was, apparently, an independent production, and MM could find no info. on the web about it, MM listed everything about the CD by track number and l...

Frustrating: MM keeps reverting TITLE Metadata

v4.03.1476 here. Windows 7 64bit. I wanted to take a video to show this, but I don't know how to take a video and then post it. So instead I'm gonna post Step-by-Step pictures and show exactly what's happening, and point out what's wrong. Step 1: Select Location Node Folder containing songs from a s...

Thanks Lowlander. That makes sense. Also kind of makes sense now to why it doesn't open up the "Properties" dialog box. I just wish it did, because it doesn't do anything when tracks are light color selected and you use SHIFT+ENTER short-cut.

Light vs. Dark Selection of songs? Keyboard short-cut prob

What's the deal with the Darker color vs. Lighter color selection of songs in MM? For instance, when I click on a folder node, MM will automatically LIGHT COLOR select the 1st Track listed. If I single mouse click on that track, it will turn to a DARK COLOR selection of that track. There must be som...

Re: Auto-Tag from .TAB, .XML or .TXT file Script?

That script worked perfectly!!! Got it up and running in no time and it did the trick. I was able to go to the Filemaker Pro search database and just extract the Description fields into a TXT file and the script read through that and entered that text into the Title Field. The only thing on the nitp...

Re: Auto-Tag from .TAB, .XML or .TXT file Script?

You'll need to custom write an addon for your format, but this has been done in the past: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8882 Awesome!!! Time to go digging through that thread and hopefully a script which even a no coding dummy like me can figure out how to modify to meet my n...
