Balimore, I've used iPods for about the last three years, and I find that iPods dock somewhere between 5 and 10dB from any given track when playing from the iPod itself. Also, iTunes has, in my experience, a terrible leveling algorithm (It's more of a preamp, actually) that seems to make loud songs ...

I am also very annoyed with the fact that I cannot play music directly from the Zen itself. I lost my HDD with my music on it and I do not have enough space on my current one to back up the stuff on my Zen (60GB Vision M, about 45GB full). Anyone know how or if MediaMonkey would be able to play off ...

I uninstalled everything and reinstalled the tagger from your latest version, and it works! I'm so glad I can use it properly now :)

Thanks a million, Steegy! I'm sure this will save me hours of tagging time :P

As far as I can tell, an option for composer information is not included with the program. You'll have to enter it manually.

The problem is that because the tracklist is broken, it only updates things that are 99% close to the actual title. I've had it not update because it didn't have the letters "rmx" at the end of a track. It sucks, but until the script gets fixed, you'll have to manually get it really close to correct...

Sorry, that above post was me. I didn't mention that. All posts by "Exa" are mine as well, I was just too lazy to log in

Figured you might want to know. I hope this doesn't count as a double-post...

While this is a valid solution for low to zero-traffic directories, it is impractical for the higher traffic ones. The idea with setting this kind of a system would be for directories that require you to have to do what DiddeLeeDoo suggested many times for it to be remotely effective. Another thing ...

A Suggestion

@Matt M Have you tried looking at the files in the old directory? Mediamonkey, to the best of my knowledge, uses a "copy then delete" operation when moving files. With older versions I noticed that it would occasionally leave behind same-name files, but their filesizes were 0 (empty), so they would ...

Good question, and I believe I know the answer. When you convert a file and select the volume leveling option, it analyzes the volume to find the difference between the volume of the original file and the dB specified in the Options menu under "Volume Leveling", which is necessary for the leveling p...

Actually, I tried it with the lower set of ID's, rescanned, and it didn't show any (1x) results anymore ^_^

I don't know if you still want me to send that debug log, but i still have the backup mdb from before the change.

Well, the false duplicates have vanished, but for good measure, I scanned a directory that I know produced some of the false duplicates... And all of the songs that were in there that came up as (1x) reappeared. Perhaps I should reapply my backup, then erase them from the database using the same met...
