Re: MediaMonkey 3.2 destroyed my hard drive

MY 2 cents: Buy several HDD and put 1 in the main computer set up as a mirror/image drive that is only accessed to update data and is complete for a full restore. Second drive in an external case saving only the programs and data that you cannot recover any other way. I store all of my music and spe...

Re: Can't burn a cd from MediaMonkey

I for one have given Roxio and Nero the boot due to conflicts with other burning app's. If you have the Gold version of MM, then burning should not be a problem. Try disabling Roxio and see what happens. Another program (free) to try is from Koyotesoft. His burner works very well as does his ripper....

Re: cleaned library, playlists recoverable?

If by some stroke of luck you happened to make a folder and copied the playlists there, you may be able to restore them to Media Monkey by using the Tree to point to them. Works for me when I build a playlist for the car and store copies of music and the completed list in a separate folder. Then to ...

Re: CD Drive becomes unresponsive

Let's see-did you tell us what drive you have and the Operating System? Very important info. Does the drive read any discs at all? If not then: If the drive has been used a lot, there is a real possibility that it has died and needs replaced. You can test this if youhave a spare CD/DVD drive availab...

Re: Need immediate help!

Keep in mind that it is possible that the uninstall was not complete. You might want to take a look in your program folders and remove any remnants. I always run CCleaner to remove as much from the Registry that it can find. Sadly, Apple has released versions of the 2 programs that are tough to get ...

Re: Clean install

Assuming that you have removed using Add/Remove Programs, then there are still some things that are left in both the Registry and various folders. You need to have full Permissions and make sure that you have set Folder Options to show Hidden files and folders. The first thing to do now is to delete...

Re: Les Paul died

For those that do not know the history of this great musician and inventor-please allow my tribute to Les Paul. He was not only the inventor of the electric guitar that bears his name, but also many of the techniques that are now done electronically. For example, he pioneered overlaying tracks on th...

Re: MM Asks to upgrade before ripping.

Certain functions are limited by Licensing. Do consider purchasing either the Gold or Lifetime registration key. The developers/authors will advise as to how many machines are covered. This small expense will help keep Media Monkey the best music manager available.

That is what Ithought. The only other question is what is the best way to put the tunes and playlist on the memory card.

Palm Centro Micro SD card

The Wiki does not show the Centro in the list. Is it possible to Sync from MM3.07 to the card when either installed in the smartphone or in a card reader and then use it in the device? I assume that a playlist and a folder containing the songs would have to be sync'd/copied to the card at the same t...

Bob: You will get a reply shortly from Bill.
There are several choices available and one does have I/O on it. Check out Echo Audio PCMCIA card at http://www.guitarcenter.com as one possibility. Then wait for Bill's reply :D

Re: Anyone Out There Ever Ripped Vinyl & Tape?

M Audio and another company have a very small interface unit that will do the trick too. The OP has a very complete setup like I have and should be able to patch thru the add-on box to the sound card. If I understand things, he will also want the ability to remove tape hiss, clicks and pops as well ...

Re: Anyone Out There Ever Ripped Vinyl & Tape?

From the Oldies but Goodies world of Wolfman Jack, Porky Chedwick and early Elvis on 78's I can say that you do have a task at hand. Mine dilemna is the same as yours up to a point. What you will need is a really good sound card to input from either a mixing board or other means. You might consider ...

Re: Moving Monkey to another machine

There are several nice skins on the site that you might want to check out. I am using a version of one that was redone for mm3 since I prefer a small player in the lower left corner. As to crashing, I wonder if you installed MM3 in its own folder rather than over MM2. As to reassociating the art, I ...
