Re: Moving Monkey to another machine

Do you have a problem w/MM3 that makes it difficult to use? I wondered about it when I first installed it, but I found that I could bring the 'skin' I like along and that made it easy for me to switch. Several regular posters are the authors of the skins and will help you with that. Now to the datab...

Re: how to sync cd to mp3

Short answer: You need to "rip" the CD into the MP3 format before you can transfer the tunes to your player. MM3 has the ability to do that for you. If you have the Gold or Lifetime version then it works really well. If you are using the Free version I will recommend that you either upgrade or find ...

Re: Hope you MM folks can help with sound?

Contrary to what the "shop" told you-it is time to substitute the sound card out. Changing slots was a good idea along with reinstalling the software and drivers. This is a hardware issue in all probability. Make sure there is no dust or debris in the case. You state that you have the problem regard...

Re: SonicStage to MM

fabioq: I use the built-in routine to add tunes to the tree ("Add Rescan). BTW: Unless SonicStage put something proprietary in the tags, there is no reason to strip and redo them. Now to tagging. I do not use the built-in ripper. Instead, I use the FREE CD Ripper from Koyotesoft. Excellent product t...

Re: SonicStage to MM

IF all of your material is in MP3 format and fully tagged, then you can simply copy it and transfer to the new machine. I will also suggest that you consider using folders for each Artist and Genre. My collection is set up with a My Music folder and the following within it: Genre folders (Oldies, Po...

Did you click on the STOP button perchance? So far as I know, the player will continue in a minimized mode unless you do this.

Re: mm3: copy music & change location to a NEW HD

Have you thought about using Acronis True Image to CLONE the drives? This is an option that I have used without any issues so far.

Thanks NoHitter for your help.
I fully agree that any file sent should be scanned. That is why I have my AV running full time :)

Need out_ds.dll 2.2.7

I woulds like t0o obtain the out_ds.dll 2.2.7 plugin to test my setup further. I am unable to find it on the WE...

Re: new downlaod/install

If you are certain-then do a SEARCH for it. Should be in a download folder of some sort. I always download to a specific folder I call Download. Make sure that this is what you want to do by setting your web browser accordingly.

You download them from the site. Current version is 3.0.2.1134. it will install itself and transfer you registration key. Do what many have done (including me) and install it into a new folder rather than in the 2.2.5 folder. i called my new folder MediaMonkey3. This way you can keep ALL of your old...

When you say "importing" this is where things can get interesting. First-do you want to store the Cd's contents on you hard Drive? If so you should RIP them using that feature in Media Monkey (or as I do using FREE CD Ripper) to a folder of your choosing. Then you can ADD/Rescan that into Media Monk...

Record Rama in Pittsburgh was just sold for more than $3 Million this week. It is claimed to be the largest archive in the US. Why sell-he wants to retire and vinyl is not what it once was. Know him personally too. :D
