Cotton - If it's not too much trouble, it would be useful if you would let us know how things go using MM within a Parallels VM. I'm thinking of switching to Apple as well because of Parallels and would be very interested in your experience. I found it to work well but I don@t do it very often as m...

Re: Amarok vs MM

Hey All Recently a friend showed me Amarok and I must say "WOW!", it seems damn cool. I have actually considered installing linux just to try it out! I suppose its only fair that nix users have something to boast about. Off the *nix players I have tried Amarok is the best in terms of music playing ...

For anybody trying this: MM 3.0 won't be dependant on ODBC and MDAC and so you might possibly wait and see whether it will be easier to run MM on Linux then. Thanks Jiri for the update, I look forward to trying it out once you release 3.0 for beta testing :D Here's hoping for an early christmas pre...

I should add that there are only two things keeping me tied to Windows.

a) Games
b) Media Monkey

So getting MM running in Wine would be great and stop me dual booting as often as I do. After a couple of times in a day I must admit thinking "why bother" running linux.

Hi Christian, I would be interested in this myself as I am unable to get MM running in Wine. I've spent the last couple of days fighting with it but getting nowhere. Using Wine 0.9.24, Winetools, MDAC 2.8 sp1, JET 4 (for Win98). I have Wine installed correctly, with IE6 and some other bits. I can in...

Currently there isn't a way to disable album art synchronization, it doesn't take much space and so we decided to always synchronize. However, an option might be added in the next versions. Jiri Thanks for replying Jiri, I look forward to you hopefully adding the option. The choice you made makes s...

Way to not sync album art to iPod?

Hi I have a 5g iPod and was wondering if there was a way to not sync the album art across when using Media Monkey.

Personally I'd rather have the extra space and I don't find having album art makes my iPod using experience any better.

Many thanks in advance.

One possibly useful feature is to be able to set an option that prevents it chosing tracks over a certain length. I have a few albums (music and audio books) which have tracks longer than 20 minutes and it would be great to exclude them without having to create a new play list. Anyway love how this ...

As they mention in their release its a preview release. Not something that actually works very well. Speed is one of the problems mentioned. Mmm, they did indeed. It took a scarely long time to deal with ~17000 tracks. I won't be repeating that experiment again until they are MUCH further along wit...
