Re: How to install a general add to a portable install insta

External Programs needs to have COM registered locally even Main installation is on NAS. "MediaMonkey Portable do not support some plugins/Scripts that depend on MediaMonkey COM Server which is due the windows demand that each COM Server needs to be registered/saved in Windows Registry and Admin Ac...

How to install a general add to a portable install instance

How do I install an add on exe so that it goes onto my portable installation and NOT my local machine installation? I installed MM (portable) onto my NAS, now I need to add the monkeymote general plug in to that. So if I launch the portable MM it will launch with the monkey mote add on. But the monk...

Re: NAS

If you use only one instance of MM at a time, and you are happy with the speed of MM over the NAS then you could be OK. However there is no way to be 100% sure that only one instance of MM is running, so there could be issues. It should not be an issue unless both ever wrote to the mm.db at the sam...

Re: NAS

MMW is not yet optimize for full usage on multiple PCs ate once. LAN bandwidth can be bottleneck. I have QNAP NAS with 2Gbit link to Switch and bandwidth is OK around average 85% of Local HDD speed which is OK. Thanks, but i would always be using one PC or the other, so not multi-user. Currently my...

NAS

Hi, Situation: I have 2 computers in two different rooms, and I have a NAS that both machines are networked to. What are my options for having just ONE MM library? If I did a portable install to the NAS will MM save ALL its "stuff" to the NAS? Stuff like ini, the database, playlists, virtual CD's, D...

Grid not multi-selecting properly (no Ctrl key recognition)

The standard Windows behavior for selecting rows in a multi-selectable grid is if you hold down the Shift key it will select multiple consecutive rows as you click the grid. Then if you want to add another (non-consecutive) row to that selection you can hold down the Ctrl key and pick up another non...

Re: DTS WAV files just play white noise, bug or plug in?

How come all my DTS WAV (high definition surround) files just play white noise in MM Gold? Its encouraging that I'm getting white noise at least, I guess that means the program is streaming the file, just apparently not decoding it properly right? My audio device is USB to a 2 channel DAC (nuForce)...

Re: Database query bugs after clearing DB and re-scanning a

1) Check the Collection criteria (File > Manage Collections) as they determine what is shown. 2) What is shown here depends on available tags and Type of the selected file. 3) What node in the Media Tree is selected? For example it isn't available in the Now Playing node. Thanks #2 and #3 were just...

Re: Database query bugs after clearing DB and re-scanning a

Just found bug #3

3) The "show column browser" button no longer does anything. I've never used the column browser, but whatever it is, it seems not to be working either.

Is this all the result of doing a "clear database" and not so much the fact that I re-scanned a NAS?

Database query bugs after clearing DB and re-scanning a NAS

I copied all my music and videos to a new 9TB NAS from external drives. I cleared the MM database. Then re-scanned all the tracks from the NAS. The NAS loads songs much faster than the USB drives and like it better as one giant volumn and RAID5, BUT, there are a few other weird issues... 1) Both the...

Monkey Mote is awesome

This is not a complaint or help question. But rather a compliment to the folks who developed Monkey Mote. I've dedicated a used iPad just to this app and mounted it on my living room wall in a picture frame. I can now control MM as though it were an "appliance", when I walk in the house, I can touch...

Re: Question about DLNA auto conversion

The files will be sent as WAV, however this only makes sense for lossless files (like FLAC and WMA Lossless). Going from a lossy to a lossless format won't add quality (it generally does result in larger file size). Thanks, I realized my Integra can play FLAC and WMA lossless already so these have ...
