Can we have an official "files won't play greyed out&qu

Hi, I've noticed that several people have had this same issue and have posted in various places in the forum, but there seems to be no solution to this problem. I won't go on and on about my own situation lest ppl think I am spamming the forum or something, but it might be useful if someone at MM le...

Ok, I can confirm that I successfully installed this on my Vista Business laptop, without any hassles whatsoever. Does everyone who encounters the "greyed out" error have a home version of vista?

This is really bugging me -- cos now I have to use WMP11 and THAT sucks, let me tell you. :P I had the mp3 plugin in my directory, but downloaded the alternative one from the MM site, but no change. Don't think it's worth trying the mp3pro one... Have any of the developers encountered this on their ...

still no luck

OK, so wondering if the database got corrupted somehow i tried clearing it, then uninstalling it, and the (because uninstall -->boot -> reinstall still left something (including watch folders) intact (even with deletting c:\users\myname\mediamonkey and c:\program files\mm)) even using two different ...

tried that

thanks man, tried it though and, no, memory keeps climbing. Proggy open 10 minutes and already over 200 megs. (It's not playing either, just rescanning library on folder watch). I will download latest build and see if its different. Other weird change from V2 - library files are grayed out until aut...

Ok I set debug to true, when should I post that and where is the log kept? You are right, maybe it is my default playlist, but it is 'my favourites not heard recently' max 500 tracks, so why those ten of the 500 is beyond me.

Looking further into it, soundtrack songs seem to be vastly overrepresented in general, though they consist of only 5% of my library. Three particular soundtrack songs are by far the most played, however. The top 10 tracks played overall in my last.fm account all come from soundtracks!

Thanks! What you say makes sense except for one thing - multiple songs from each album aren't being chosen, only one is (from each of the three various/soundtrack albums). Other songs from my library are somehow 'triggering' those particular 3 songs, and vastly different songs are doing the triggeri...

here's a weird one

Hi, Love the script a LOT. There is a weird thing that happens fairly often, though. For some reason scrobblerdj wants to grab songs from three particular albums (from a library of 26000 songs), all in the same directory: "Various Artists and Soundtracks", specifically 'Alternative 90s, Blow OST and...

not sure what i'm doing wrong...

Hi,

not sure what my problem is, but I can seem to get the autorater to work: i copied the three scripts onto notepad, save them as vbs and ini respectively, and restarted mm, but no sign of autorate in options (I am using the latest beta is that a problem?)

Thanks,
Bill

results...

Well, the results are a bit strange: Deleting the database solved 99% of the problem, as almost all the files that I'd tagged, but which had appeared to 'revert' magically showed up as updated whern the new database was built. Almost all that, is - there are still a few, one of which i was able to c...

reinstall

The reinstall over top didn't work - the tags were still showing as 'unknown' in MM even though they shoed up in explorer. So I uninstalled and deleted the library database (took a while to find it :P )

So am slowly buiding the new DB now, will let you know how it turns out!

Thanks again,
Bill
