yes, absolutely. this seems to be a NAS related issue. http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=16364 I have two proposals for consideration: 1. have an option (can be enabled via reg setting) to have MM explicity touch/update an mp3 file when a tag is edited. I suspect this will slow down...

timestamps not updated when MediaMonkey modifies file on NAS

There has been a problem documented on both this forum and the Infrant/Netgear ReadyNAS forum. MediaMonkey (and perhaps other apps) when they update a file (in this case an mp3) on ReadyNAS does not update the timestamp. The proper MM option is set and oplocks are disabled on the ReadyNAS. Is MM dev...

Can anyone help with patching this for MM 3.0 final? I get an error on this line:

Dim SDB : Set SDB = CreateObject("Scripting.SDBApplication")

I've had every beta and RC on my English Windows Vista box - I've never had it setup for another language. I un-installed RC3 prior to installing RC4. I didn't uninstall RC4 - just installed RC5 on top of it.

Yes, acknowledge custom filters. Just want more flexibility on Auto Organize filters.

Pistas disponibles ???

Saw this in RC4 and is also in RC5:
Options / Auto-Organize
Add new rule. One of the Filters is named "Pistas disponibles"
what does that mean?
I would love to have an Album filter (or a custom filter based on any tag attribute). Why limit it to Genre, podcast and Playlists?

My slowdown is getting worse. It is slow from the moment MM starts up. Before any music is played. I'm going to try to uninstall and install again.

RC2 started acting very slow for me today too. Initial monitor scan finished also. Restart of MM does not fix. No errors. Strange.

Just happened to me with B2. MM crashed spontaneously (while playing an mp3), put up the crash email dialog, but MM main window was still working. I closed MM and then started it again. I think two instances were running which is why the "library upgrade" was triggered.

It may be checking for a "New Version" - which can be disabled in the Options.

Did a complete uninstall of MM3 and reinstall. Hit the same error pretty early in a file monitor scan. Can a quick fix be delivered for this fatal bug??? I upgraded (again) to Gold so I could use the Monkey on my Vista box. I'm now dead in the water. (I know it is beta, but this is worse than any al...

I'm having the same problem. Choosing two of the three options, Retry or Ignore, results in a hung MM and I have to go to the task manager to kill MM. Tried deleting my DB but it keeps happening. If a MM DB does not exist, does a new one get created automatically? This blocking error makes B1 worse ...
