Re: Missing files not shown as missing?
So because I have all my music and my DB on dropbox, it's on a "network" share, which is actually \\localhost\C$\rlpowell\ or whatever (I'm not at home so I can't easily check). Since this is just an alternate way to talk to my C drive, so that mediamonkey won't freak out when I change computers (si...

Missing files not shown as missing?
I have a bunch of files that definitely aren't there (trying to play gives me the "cancel/retry/ignore" dialogue, and ignore makes them turn grey), but they aren't showing up in Music -> Files To Edit -> Dead Links, nor in an auto playlist I made that only shows "Status is not accessible" files. Thi...

Re: A solution! to keeping your DB on DropBox
Does anyone know if this is still the solution for the new DB in MM4 or does that change things at all? Well, I'm running 4.0.0.1418, so... :) The problem certainly exists with MM4. Note that my method has problems, in as much as MM and DropBox fight over the DB file, so it crashes a lot. Apparentl...

A solution! to keeping your DB on DropBox
(There are at least 4 other threads on this topic; I'm making this new one so my post to all the others (for people who have them subscribed via email) can just be a link to this and not toooo spammy). This method may work for other cloud drive services as well. This method is specific to Windows. *...

Re: Need relative paths, or path setting options, in playlis
So, now that I've explicated the problem in great detail, does anyone know how to fix it? If not, how do I move this from the help forum to the feature request forum? The last time I tried it got locked for duplicate posting. -_- -Robin It's already implemented in MM4 beta: http://www.ventismedia.c...

Re: "did not match import criteria" -- what import criteria?
Nope, that's not it; almost everything in that directory is either a .mp3 or .ogg, both of which I'm importing, and there certainly aren't 2500 pieces of album art across 150 albums. According to searches I've done, I only *have* 2696 files in there, *total*. Something very weird is happening. Since...

"did not match import criteria" is confusing [#7918]
When I do an "add/rescan files to the library" on the directory that has all my music, it finds 2622 files and says: "Did not import 2647 files (did not match import criteria)" What import criteria is it talking about? What files did it not add? Why? I read everything I could find in this forum abou...

Re: Need relative paths, or path setting options, in playlis
I'm just not following you. When you said the tracks were in "/sdcard/Music/alt/", I assumed then that you needed the /sdcard/, though now you say you don't need it. So what's the issue then? From the point of view of software running on the phone, the tracks are in /sdcard/Music/... When the phone...

Re: Need relative paths, or path setting options, in playlis
Because /sdcard doesn't show up on the USB drive connection; the path it actually needs to sync to is E:\Music\alt...; no sdcard component.nohitter151 wrote:So why not just change "Sync tracks to:" to \sdcard\<Path:2> ?

Re: Need relative paths, or path setting options, in playlis
I don't understand. The paths you've posted (eg. "\Music\alt\Blink_182--Adams_Song.mp3") are relative, not absolute. No, they start with \; relative would be "Music\alt\...". That wouldn't work either; it would need to be "..\Music\alt\...". Bear in mind that this is actually being used on Android,...

Need relative paths, or path setting options, in playlists
I'm trying to get things working with my Android device, but it's generating playlists like this: #EXTM3U #EXTINF:249,Blink 182 - Adam's Song \Music\alt\Blink_182--Adams_Song.mp3 This doesn't work because it's absolute, and while the path on the USB drive when hooked to the computer is E:\Music\alt\...
