Re: Onkyo AVR: Significant delays between tracks when conver

Yes, it is a local network so no speed problems there. I tried it with a different DLNA server that also converts to WAV with volume leveling and don't have this delay issue between tracks so apparently it is something peculiar with the Media Monkey/Onkyo interaction.

Re: Onkyo AVR: Significant delays between tracks when conver

I finally got around to trying this again with the new Beta. Here is the significant portion of the log where it took ~50s to move on to the second track (I don't see how to attach a file to the post):

Edit: I just submitted a support ticket with the full log instead as suggested by lowlander.

Re: No album art with DLNA to Onkyo tx-nr809

I just tried the new Beta release and the album art problem seems to be fixed. The special character issue still exists, though.

Edit: Well, upon further testing, cover art seems to work intermittently with the new Beta.

Re: No album art with DLNA to Onkyo tx-nr809

I can confirm that I get album art correctly through DLNA with J. River Media Center but not with Media Monkey (I have a TX-NR709). Special characters are also funky via MM and not JRMC. For example, Keb' Mo' shows as Keb' Mo' when served up by MM.

Re: Onkyo AVR: Significant delays between tracks when conver

Due the some other tests on a friends ONKYO TX-NR609 Only FLAC and OGG were not Played I played WMA without problems. I have the TX-NR709 and FLAC files play without problems when streaming the files without conversion. The problem is I have delays when I am converting as described above (I need to...

Re: Onkyo AVR: Significant delays between tracks when conver

A search suggests the "others" were probably just me :).

Doesn't the file have to be "uncompressed" to WAV before being converted to a lower quality anyways? So shouldn't converting to WAV be the fastest?

Onkyo AVR: Significant delays between tracks when converting

I am using DLNA playback in an Onkyo AVR and see significant delays between tracks during playback. This happens when converting tracks (mostly FLAC) and applying volume leveling (although unchecking leveling seems to make no difference). I see the following: Convert to MP3: Switches to the next tra...

Re: MiniPlayer - size and layout like Windows 7 Gadget

The MiniPlayer keeps "forgetting" its position for me. When I minimize the main window to put it into the MiniPlayer "mode" it periodically shows up at the top center of my desktop rather than the right side where I had it before. It seems to forget its position after a reboot. Anyone else see this ...

MM Plugin for NextPVR available: full screen, remote control

NextPVR is a free alternative to Windows Media Center that allows you to play your media with a full screen interface and a remote control. I wrote a plugin for NextPVR that allows you to browse and play your music using MediaMonkey in the "background". See the following wiki page for more details ...

Re: MiniPlayer - size and layout like Windows 7 Gadget

There seems to be a bug in MediaMonkey where it always lines up the bottom left of the Now Playing list opened by the MiniPlayer with the top left of the MiniPlayer. This causes most of the Now Playing list window to be displayed off-screen when you have the MiniPlayer positioned at the far right of...

Re: MiniPlayer - size and layout like Windows 7 Gadget

Thanks, Pman. This is great. Multi-line text: If you resize the text area will it actually wrap? If so, maybe the player could be changed to allow resizing vertically to allow the text area to resize and be multi-line if the user has room for it? Most of the MiniPlayer skins seem to allow horizontal...

It very well could be (maybe my client needs an 8-second buffer?) but if I could level all the tracks before hand (reversibly) I could avoid this DLNA problem.

Re: MiniPlayer - size and layout like Windows 7 Gadget

I don't know how to use Photoshop and im quite amateur at the Theme Editor but thankfully most of the above was done through the ini file. What do you think? Nice! I like it and not just because you did a screenshot with the same song :). I couldn't quite figure out the "frames" and "stretching" in...

Yes, but DLNA leveling causes an unacceptable delay between tracks as I reported here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =4&t=61991
