Re: Volume Leveling Improvements

I agree - this would make a lot of things like DLNA and portable transfers/sync easier for me. I also want to be able to get back to my perfect FLAC rips just in case...

MiniPlayer - size and layout like Windows 7 Gadget

I took a very rough stab at creating a skin (based on Vitreous) with a MiniPlayer that has a size and layout like that of a Windows 7 Gadget so I can place it on my desktop at the side of the screen with other gadgets. The only problem is I have very limited skills in skin creation and Photoshop. I ...

Re: DLNA Lockups

I sent a log to support and it turns out that when you check "Level volume when converting audio" it causes the audio to be converted anyways. In my case FLAC was being converted to FLAC which seems to be causing the lockup. If I uncheck this option I don't get any lockups but I hope they are planni...

Re: DLNA: Speed up track transitions when converting audio

That's right. I did some more detailed testing. When not converting it displays the next track to be played and it starts playing in 1-2 seconds. When converting it takes 8-9 seconds to begin playing the next track (the more than 10 seconds was not taking into account the silence at the end of the p...

DLNA: Speed up track transitions when converting audio

I don't know if it is possible or it is out of MM's hands, but it would be nice to speed up track transitions when converting and streaming audio via DLNA. When I have it set to convert all audio to MP3 (mostly FLAC source files) and apply volume leveling it consistently takes more than 10 seconds t...

Re: DLNA Lockups

I have to say I doubt this very much, I have several other devices that I've tested and playback works fine for both converted and non-converted tracks when served by MM. Well, I'm glad you've had success and can be so dismissive. It seems likely that two completely different devices having the sam...

DLNA Lockups

I am serving music files (FLAC and MP3) to my Onkyo AVR. When I choose to not convert any audio (it can handle FLAC files) playback suddenly stops on the Onkyo after successfully playing a few files and it requires a power cycle (of the AVR) to recover. I had the same behavior with the new Western D...

Re: Output analog stereo to surround channels outputs

Thanks, but it is not possible to do this for my sound card drivers which is why I asked. The application would have to specifically use the surround outputs otherwise the driver would have to know each application and be configured differently for each one (to have simultaneous outputs from differe...

Re: Output analog stereo to surround channels outputs

I can do this inside another audio program (choose which 2 channels to output to) independent of the sound card driver so it should be possible.

Output analog stereo to surround channels outputs

I have a sound card with 6-channel analog surround output. Is there any way to route the stereo output of MM to the surround channels outputs instead of the front channels? I don't see any settings for this in any of the output plugin settings. I would like to do this so I can have separate output f...

Re: Playback speeds

Built-in playback speed control still seems to be missing? This would really be useful to slow down playback for instrument playing, for example.

Add item to "Play Now" dropdown toolbar menu?

How does one add a new item to the "Play Now" dropdown menu shown for the button on the Standard toolbar? I can get the Standard toolbar with no problems but then don't know how to add sub items to the first button? Is this possible? Thanks.

Automation: 'isRunning' returns true before app initialized

I have an external C# application that is using COM automation to fill in a list box with the current songs in Now Playing. On startup it creates a new application object and then has a wait loop (while loop with sleep) until SDBApplication.isRunning returns true. 'isRunning' seems to return true pr...
