That's helpful :)

Sorry to jump in here. I have a related question.

I would like to run two instances of MM3.

One to look at one library database (on the pc hard disc),
and the other instance to look at a different library database (on an ext hard drive).

Is this possible, please.

I think the main limitation is that the more music you have the bigger the database file and the more memory MediaMonkey uses. The bigger database file can be an issue when you have a fragmented file, so defragmentation can solve that issue. The memory issue would be a question of having enough sys...

Re: Monitor Feature

The library numbers about 50,000 songs. ... takes a lot of time to monitor 50,000 tracks and B: slows my machine down to a snails pace. Hello Keith, I am in the same position as you. I too have a 500 Gig ext hard drive containing 50,000+ tracks :) The Monitor feature is of no use to you whatsoever ...

I am so pleased. Thank you again for taking the trouble to instruct me. Ha, ha, when I've got over my exci...

Auto DJ feature with no repeats - advice please

Hello Folks, I am using the Auto DJ feature which is busy selecting songs from my library. It works well :D I would like to know how to prevent Auto DJ from selecting songs that have been played before. I have a good sized database of songs and want to progress through them all without repeats. Any ...

Interesting question. My collection of music files has a folder for each Artist. Under that folder the albums have a subfolder each - preceeded by the date of issue so that they are listed chronologically. For example: The Beatles 1967 Sgt Pepper 1968 Submarine 1968 The White Album 1969 Abbey Road :D
