The same can be said about other Types such as Radio interviews, LoRes Bootlegs, or Christmas Carols.
Custom Types is a requirement.

I hope you are not telling me it only looks at the parent folder and ignores the underlying child folders.

Re: Continous scan option not working - I Think

Happens to me too :( There is definitely something wrong with this Scan function. It is intermittent. And the annoying thing is you don't realise it hasn't auto scanned new additions. Yes MediaMonkey is running while files are being added. I use both mp3s and flac and the files are on a T2 ext hard ...

p.s. we never really considered custom Types for MM 4.0.-Rusty Hello rusty, I think there is a clear need for custom Types. I myself don't require Karoake nor standup comedy. However other Types such as Live music, Bootleg music, HiRes music, or whatever are a necessity. Rusty, custom Types is a re...

Re: LinkedTracks v1.1.1 [MM2+3+4] (TSFKA TiedSongsGroups)

Sorry but I am confused. I would like to use this LinkedTracks script with MM4. Many of the posts talked about another script namely DJTiedSongsGroups script and the tweaks that are required for it to work with MM4. Please reassure me that this LinkedTracks script works with MM4. I downloaded the li...

Flac v1.2.1 and the two versions - confused

My question is about versions of FLAC.

I have some files with Flac v1.2.1 20070917 others with Flac v1.2.1 20071117.
Alright it looks to me like an updated version but is it?

What's the difference - if any. Is one more suitable than the other?
[Google-ing didn't find the answer ! ]
thanks,

Re: 24 bits 96 kHz CD question

Thanks Ternaugh, yeah I now use dBpoweramp myself. It's very good, innit.
Just wondered if there was anything else around these days - that simply displayed the quality of a music file.

Re: Edit properties - disappears from media tree [#8651]

Here's an example:- The entry disappears from the media tree (therefore so does the song) and only reappears when you collapse and re-expand the node. This happens for other node types as well. Alternatively, select a node with many entries and edit one of the entries to create a value that doesn't...

Re: 24 bits 96 kHz CD question

This is interesting. I'd like a program that can display the bits and bobs and kHz's, the mp3 bitrate, the flac quality level and so on. I think we have found that Explorer is not reliable and cannot display the truth. I used to use old programs such as: Mr Question Man http://www.burrrn.net/mrq/ , ...

Re: Settings not saved unless MM is closed safely

Dear devs, dear users I am not sure whether the following behaviour is wished or not: The issue: I make changes in my preferences/settings, and they persist while MM is still running. Now, if I close MM correctly (regular program close, no kill), then the preferences are kept and are reappearing in...

Re: BPM not being interpreted correctly (Magic Nodes)

@Guest, there an MM field called BPM that can be added as a column to your view. However to display any results it must first be populated with BPM data - now from where do you obtain reliable BPM data.... I would love all my tracks to have a BPM record and be able to play playlists according to the...

Of interest: http://www.mixmeister.com/bpmanalyzer/bpmanalyzer.asp Has anyone else here used the mixmeister ? I keep getting runtime errors with it?? Chris, I am not at all happy with mixmeister performance. Trouble is I know of no other program that will measure the BPM in not only mp3 and now mor...
