Re: Just List Albums 1.6 [MM2+3]

Trix - First, love your work! Thanks for making Monkey great. I didn't even know that you had written the Just Albums report script until I saw this post. I tried Loading it and I'm getting the samew error message. See Post below. Any thoughts? Thanks again for the great work and in advance for any ...

Re: help with Just list albums

FYI, I'm having the same problem running the script. Same error message and I definately had my entire Library selected. I didn't know about this script until I saw the post. If I can get it running, it's something I have really been looking for. I am running Monkey 3.1.0.1256 and Vista Home Premium...

Re: What Target Volume Levels for Increasing Output?

Here are a couple of posts that go into a ton of detail on Leveling vs. Analyzing. If you are just trying to amp up the volume for a portable player, I would not use Leveling during the Rip (because that is a permanent change), I would Analyze after the rip and then Level "on the fly" as you sync wi...

Re: How to lock the width of the columns (artist, title, etc)

There is a bug that if you don't exit the "Album Art with Details" view before exiting Monkey the column widths won't be saved. See this post for details if you are still having problems.

In case it was just a coincidence that that fixed it, there used to be a bug that if you didn't exit the "Album Art with Details" view before exiting the column widths wouldn't be saved. Re: Analyze Volume Questions.....

Here is a post that has a lot of info on Volume Leveling and Analysis if you are interested. It' doesn't explain how your files were analyzed, but it had to have been done by either Monkey or another app.

Re: cddb and auto tagging in media monkey

IF you are going to rerip your 2K collection to FLAC, I assume for archival purposes, you might want to consider doing it in EAC. Monkey is ok, but if you want to get great error checking on the read during the rip, use EAC. See these posts for some things to consider/ideas: http://www.mediamonkey.c...

Re: Converting FLAC to Apple Lossless

Assuming I wanted Monkey to do the syncing with the ipod (and I was going to use Apple Lossless on the ipod) and that I want FLAC to be my main format, I either would have to create an Apple Lossless copy of what I wanted to sync outside of Monkey and then add them to the Library and then sync the a...

Re: Converting FLAC to Apple Lossless

That's good to know, but still a bit of a problem because I would have to keep two sets of the files, one FLAC and one APLC. Syncing the tags would be a pain. I will probably put up with MP3s for now if encoding APLC is in the works. Thanks.

Re: Converting FLAC to Apple Lossless

Thanks Ra harris, I'll check that out. Once again, the problem is that if Monkey can't handle the files, I can't use Monkey to sync with the ipod. I hope that Monkey can handle Apple Lossless in the near future. Or, better yet, Apple would start handling FLAC!

Re: Converting FLAC to Apple Lossless

Nohitter -

Thx for the info. There is a program MAX for Macs which would do the conversion, but then I would have to use itunes for the sync (bad answer). I guess I will have to keep using HQ MP3's until Monkey can handle Apple Lossless. :(

Converting FLAC to Apple Lossless

My entire library 25K+ songa are Flac files. I would like to be able to convert them to Apple Lossless for transfer, portability and playback on an ipod. Is there an easy way to do this and on the fly convert the files while syncing with the ipod? Does the AAC/M4A addon that is available for purchas...
