3.0.2 RC-1 - Major Major Corruption Issue and/or bug!

Again, I start by saying what a huge supporter and fan of MM and the developers I am, I've been using and loving it for years, but something has gone horribly wrong with 3.0.2 RC-1. I started noticing issues immediately upon installation. At first the problem seemed to be limited to album art view -...

Sometimes the mind wanders..... I totally spaced that you had pasted the new code on page 1 of the thread. I just copied it and made a .vbs and it installed fine. Gonna give it a whirl tonight. Thanks again for all the hard work.

Ugh. I keep getting the "Product Installation Error" message and I'm the administrator. I'm the only user and only I have administrator rights, so is there something else I could be missing? (sidebar: I hate Vista) Has anyone else tried installing it on MMRC4? Could this be the problem? Thanks again...

Bex, thanks for all the hard work - and I hate to be a pain in the ass, but for some reason I can't install it - I get an error, "Product Installation Error." I'm using Vista and MMRC4, could that have anything to do with it?
Thanks again,
Cory

That makes so much sense that it's frightening. I'm gonna try that on the next install. Thanks.

Try disabling Norton (if it's not too much of a hassle) and then removing the .dll's manually. That's basically what I did with AVG and it worked.

Thanks. I've got AVG too. I had to actually take it off - but that did the trick. Was able to take it off manually.

Vista - Can't Uninstall DeskPlayer.dll

Hi,
After Uninstalling both RC1 and RC2 to install RC3 I am unable to remove DeskPlayer.dll from the MediaMonkey Program file. Normal uninstall doesn't do it, nor can I do it manually. (I am the administrator, but MM won't let me do it) Anyone else having this problem or can help?
Thanks,
Snacks

RC2 Bug(s) - Artist & Album Artist Tree Node

Again, appreciate all the hard work. So, all of a sudden, Compilation Albums on which an "Artist" appears as "the Song Artist's Name" but where the "Album Artist" is "Various" have stopped appearing under the Artist's name in the "Artist & Album Artist" Tree node. However, when I switch to Album Art...

Beta 4 - You Guys Are Nearly Gods... Nearly

Just kidding - you're Gods. Just wanted to write a quick note - you guys have done such an awesome job, and I for one totally appreciate it. Except for a couple of really really minor things, Beta 4 is just awesome. I had some Album Art View issues and a few other lingering problems but you guys hav...

I've had the same problem. I know it's a pain in the ass, but did you remove the old art? That helps sometimes, and sometimes you need to name the new art something other then "unspecified." Also, have you tried to rescan the songs in question? What I would do first, is delete the songs, then rescan...

UPDATE: I followed some earlier advice and copied the offending the album into another folder, then deleted the original and replaced it with the copied version, rescanned and Voila! The individual artwork shows up! BUT WHY? Why is this step necessary? It makes no sense. If the Album Artist field is...

Art View And Various Artist Albums - The Conflict lives on!

First, and again, great work. This last Beta seems to working great. Still a couple of bugs which I know you already know about... but I really appreciate all the time and energy you guys put in! GREAT JOB! So, it appears that in some cases, the only way that MM3 will show off individual artwork for...
