Totally understand. I have 400 gigs of music and I've got it backed up on 2 hard drives and have some (soon to be all) on DVDs. Sounds pretty anal but I would hate to lose any of it. So I'm going to return the Hitachi and get a new 1 tb, but I agree - I hate Western Digital, that's the only brand th...

I'm on my 2nd one.... and have had the same problem with both. The hard drive just disconnects itself from the computer. And with the 2nd one I have to turn it off and turn it on before my computer will read it again. Everyone's been helpful, but they've no solution, and I've never had this problem ...

It happens with all files. And I hate to sound unintelligent, but I would love to send you a debug log, but I don't know how. If you quickly explain it to me, I'll be more than happy to do it. By the way, I'm using Vista. Thanks again.

B1 (and Alpha 8) Bug - MM Really Lags When Editing Songs

First of all, I really like the improvements - the speed of just getting around and scanning in music is great! Scanned 80,000 songs in 2 1/2 hours. However, I'm still having a big problem - one which I first started experiencing in MM3 Alpha 8 (but none of the earlier Alphas). When I go to edit a s...

That's strange. I'm using MM3 Alpha 8 and when go into options I get "choose tree nodes," "edit filter and views," "show tree titlebar," and "show tree shortcut." In that order. Are you using Alpha 8? Try not "right clicking" on the actual node, but somewhere else in the box, or right above the box,...

Amazingly that seems to work in most cases. After much testing I found that I had to go into the properties of the first song of the album and make the artwork "front cover" or name it anything besides "unspecified" and then follow your instructions. But why, in God's name does this work? And why do...

Another wacky bug - Songs without Albums!

Although all my singles (of which I have 1000's) have individual artwork, In the Tiled Art View Alpha 8 is deciding that a single piece of artwork fits all. Yesterday it was Neneh Cherry, today it's The Little River Band. Although the artwork does not replace the original art, nor does it appear in ...

Ability To Copy Artwork Directly From Song?

Hey all, I've commented on this before and have read others ask for it, but would it be at all possible to include the ability to COPY artwork directly from a Song's Properties or from the Main Artwork Window rather than having to Save the artwork from the Song's Properties to a foreign location fir...

Follow up - after looking at the problem closer, it appears that the above problem only occurs sometimes, with no rhyme or reason. I can't find any differences between songs and their details on which it occurs and songs on which it doesn't. However, on the songs that it does happen, again, if I sim...

Hey guys - my initial scan of my library in Alpha 8 (90,000) went smooth - 3 hours, no hiccups or apparent missed songs. But I too have been having some problems with "freezing" or "hanging up." Browsing my library in Alpha 8 and going from screen to screen, node to node, song to song is very fast, ...

Artwork Bug

Although this is described in the above "artwork poll" I thought I would bring it to your attention in a new post. "Some artwork doesn't show up in the tile (album art) views." I found a way to solve it - which is a real pain in the ass. The artwork that doesn't come up seems to always to be labeled...

Had the same problem and Steegy helped me. It's simple. MM3 allows you to choose which nodes to view. Just move your mouse into your tree node's then right click, choose "options" and then choose "tree nodes." A box will pop up and let you pick and choose.
